Jenkins suggests they do an autopsy on the wolf. An autopsy is a dissection of a (dead) human body for analytical purposes; dissecting an animal body that isn't human is a necropsy.
Jenkins and Cassandra are sitting in an open area of the hospital (possibly a waiting room?), looking through dozens of patient charts. Due to patient privacy laws in the US (HIPAA laws), there's no way either of them would have access to patient information like that, much less be able to take the charts and look at them at their leisure in an area where the general public could see them.
