Sex & Nudity
-
- There is no nudity, and there are no lurid sex scenes. The movie does however have some points to be aware of.
- 1) The main character is a prostitute leaving her profession.
- 2) There are early scenes showing her and other girls walking the street dressed appropriately for hooking.
- 3) There is one early scene where the main character is in a client's car and is paid for her services.
- 4) There is one early scene where her pimp shakes the main character down for money.
- 5) One early scene shows the main character unsuccessfully trying to solicit a man in a car.
- 6) One early scene shows the main character getting affectionate with her pimp in order to pick his pocket and take her money back.
- 7) The pimp's other hookers are briefly shown in a couple later scenes, without much reference to their profession.
Violence & Gore
-
- There is some violence in this movie, none of it gory.
- 1) One scene where a pimp grabs and threatens the main character.
- 2) Two scenes where a girl is shot, one killing the girl, the other just injuring. There is little blood and no gore.
- 3) Two scenes where the main character threatens another girl with violence. The more physically confrontational scene is an act of standing up to a bully.
- 4) One scene of an attempted abduction of the main character.
Profanity
-
- I recall no profanity in the movie besides possibly the word Hell, once.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- No drug abuse is observed, and the alcohol use is minimal.
- 1)There is one flashback scene where an implied underage main character orders a whisky sour.
- 2) The pimp is shown drinking alcohol and drunk.
- 3) In one scene, the main character and another (underage) girl are drinking alcohol.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- None of the scenes I observed seemed especially frightening or intense.
- The closest thing to intense/frightening are the same scenes mentioned in Violence and Gore section.
