Exclusive: Investigation Discovery is heading to Murdertown for its latest true-crime doc. The U.S. cable network has ordered a six-part crime series about murders in small towns from British producer Britespark Films.
Welcome To Murdertown follows the baffling murder mysteries where it’s not just one person who’s hiding something – it’s everybody. From small towns and tight-lipped communities to tight-knit families, investigators must penetrate a wall of silence to crack the case.
The documentary series focuses on cold cases that have come up against a wall of silence from these communities before decades later, a witness helps to solve the case.
Premiering on Tuesday, November 13, the series was shot across the U.S. including in Idaho and Texas and includes some drama reconstructions shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
It is produced by Britespark Films, the Argonon-owned company run by Nick Godwin, producer of series such as Nazi Hunters and feature-doc Manson.

Embodying every cliché of the working class New York City loudmouth is long-time local legend Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels, an organization of do-gooders who formed in 1977 in a McDonalds on Fordham Road in the Bronx. His new documentary Vigilante: The Incredible True Story of Curits Sliwa and the Guardian Angels, directed by David Wexler, is an entertaining yet one-sided look at the organization told mostly through an extended interview with Sliwa and archival footage of New York in the Ed Koch, David Dinkins, and Rudy Giuliani eras. The lattermost mayor would finally give credit to the Guardian Angels while Koch and the NYPD fought against the collective, which initially was founded as a neighborhood watch. Only later as crack rock hit the poorest neighborhoods of color would the Angels become more proactive, robbing crack dealers, throwing the product in the sewer, and giving the cash proceeds to soup kitchens.

Fair warning: little in this article has a thing to do with pop culture. So, if your intention is to bitch about that after reading this let me do it for you:
Clueless Cow writes: Why is this in Bleeding Cool? Rich, can’t you get a writer to write what matters? He surely does not.
Live with parents at 50 writes: Davis writes an opinion column. Has anyone noticed all the views are his? Who is this guy anyway? I’d like to see my point of view expressed on ComicMix and so would my mom.
Do yourself a favor: stop reading now.
I’m writing this solely for my fans. I may joke I only have two, but I’ve got thousands all over the world. Spare me the “I’ve never heard of you” bullshit. Really? I’m the guy writing this. And you are..?

Slenderman Stabbing Suspects Head to Trial This Year as Victim’s Family Says They ‘Will See Justice’
The second of two suspects accused of attempting to kill their friend three years ago — by luring her into the woods and stabbing her 19 times — appeared in court earlier this week where a Wisconsin judge denied a motion to have a jury from a neighboring county hear the case.
Instead, 15-year-old Anissa Weier will be tried by her peers in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, officials said. Her trial is scheduled to begin Sept. 11.
Earlier this month, the other suspect in the case, 14-year-old Morgan Geyser, appeared in court where a judge determined her confession to police — parts of which were aired...

The cold majesty of space is the beating heart of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and the playground for the series’ largest canvas yet. The result is a stunningly realized world married to a story of obscene spectacle that’s unfortunately but expectedly, light on substance. Thankfully, a competent and thrilling multiplayer and the return of Zombies mode rounds off one of the meatiest CoD packages in years.
But let’s start with the campaign. Visually, it’s a sight to behold. From the empty confines of an enemy ship to the inky blankness of space, there are moments of true beauty here – and even genius. The zero gravity of space is deftly brought to life, and there’s something formidably impressive about this vision of the world above our skies.
One standout level takes place on a mining colony knocked out of orbit and circling the sun in seconds.

Black Panther may be over two years and five Marvel films from its release, but that hasn't stopped immense hype surrounding the movie. In addition to solid introduction the character received in this month's Captain America: Civil War, the fact that there will be a black actor leading a superhero film is quite the big deal. Sure, it's happened before with the Blade series, but in the current generation of films, most non-white actors have been reduced to side characters. With a reported 90% African or African American cast, Black Panther promises to be a step in the right direction for diversity in Hollywood.
Ever since Civil War hit theaters a few weeks back, there have been tons of reports and rumors surrounding the cast. In talks to join the flick have been Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan, but of course there is a much greater cast surrounding the flick,...
