Barraki: Creeps from the Deep

The visual storyboarding for this short film was top-notch. In only two minutes, we get a brief introduction to the underwater world of Mahri Nui and one of its inhabitants, the hapless Dekar. Each Barraki also enters from the darkness to claim the Mask of Life, showing their menacing figures and powers. The dark, stark atmosphere shows that this is no Atlantica, this is an underwater graveyard where the inhabitants have abandoned all hope. While the narrator is great as always, the script is a let down and seems too equivocal to really say anything about Mahri Nui.
