It boggles the mind that anyone could state this is a more mature Ian, that's grown from his childish past. This "Content Cop" was nothing more than an airing of personal grievances and bad faith judegements for a full hour.
I'm not an H3 fan, and there's plenty I don't agree with him on. I also don't think he's done himself any favours in treating his podcast as an emotional dumping ground (not that I watched it anyway so makes no difference to me). It's as though Ian thought "Hold my beer" and decided to make a much more public and obnoxious emotional dump by making this main channel hit piece, even resurrecting the Content Cop name and outfit to draw more views to his outpour.
This isn't a "Content" Cop, it's just drama between ex-friends. Put it on your own podcast, or tweet him, or better still just reach out and have a chat. But this video wasn't made to improve things, and it's dishonest for him to glaze it at the end as such as though that was the intention all along (will come back to this).
Starting the video with a cringe-inducing dance of the worst political streamers imaginable was a bold choice. It's been pointed out already by the likes of xQC, he made a Content Cop with the people that deserved to have a Content Cop made on them. I won't go into all the terrible things they've said and done as it's a long list and has been beaten to death by others.
At the end, Ian states his previous Content Cops were not fair and that to include some positive words about Ethan demonstrates his commitment to fairness this time around. Couldn't be further from the truth, after an hour of the opposite, literally starting the video with a bunch of hacks flipping him off, it just feels completely disigenuous. This video was genuinely pretty mean, in bad faith, and worst of all not fun! Every previous Content Cop, though critical, was generally lighthearted, comedic and very rewatchable! We never see the outfit again after the intro and it's clear this isn't fun, this is personal.
There was nothnig mature about this. It was less researched, less concise, less engaging, it was just a low effort rant. SAD!
EDIT: I was not aware of the CPS call at time of writing, which makes this whole situation look even worse and the Content Cop seem genuinely malicious. What a fall from grace.
