Mohan Babu and Vishnu Manchu gave a controlled and intense performance

Rowdy is the example of those films that are not the exact remake of the original but the theme and the flow of the story are same. This is the Telugu remake of Hindi movie "Sarkar". I saw the "Sarkar" and that movie was good. That is also directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He is a talented Director and his crime drama movie is always fascinating. If we exclude some gangster movie of Ramu which were failed at the box office in the recent time, others are not bad and some are very good. That's why I have very curious about the film and the casting of the movie is also liked by me.

This movie is a little bit different from the original. the original movie's story was in one of the metro city of India and this is not a metro based story. Some other little changes are happened in this movie because of the Telugu audience. these changes are very usual and relevant for the story.

Well, this is a gangster revenge drama. There are lots of emotions, action, anger, and politics in this movie. the movie showed the father-son relation on both sides of a coin. This movie shows and the reveals the dirty side of the politics. This movie shows how a gentleman who doesn't know the underworld but after his father's broken courage, he will be the next ANNA.

performance wise Mohan Babu is good as Anna and Vishnu Manchu gave a good performance as Krishna. These two are the two tires if the movie is like a cycle. these two gave a very controlled and intense performance and of course, ram Gopal Verma is the real Anna of this movie. His imposing direction made this movie good and enjoyable. No doubt this is one of his best Telugu movies.

I want to tell you this movie is not as good as the original but if you want to watch a good, enjoyable revenge drama this is a fair choice for you.

Rowdy - Mohan Babu - Aggression Role in the movie.

The film is helped hugely by good performances from Mohan Babu, Vishnu and Jayasudha. This is one of Vishnu's better performances till date and he looks convincing when he tries to show restrained aggression. Jayasudha performs with ease and is never overshadowed by the men folk. While Varma can be commended for channelizing Mohan Babu's aggression in an apt role. Rowdy is one of the better films from Varma is recent times offers new in content.

"Mohan Babu is a superb actor. He has done the most compelling character in his career. It took a director of Ram Gopal Varma caliber to present Mohan Babu in natural avatar. Plus points of the film are Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu, and their characterizations. On the flip side a toned-down violence and a compelling second half would have made the movie more universal. On a whole, Rowdy is a special film that adds a feather to the cap of Mohan Babu. Varma's films are always technically good and 'Rowdy' is no exception. The action sequences are well choreographed, especially the one where goons surround Mohan Babu. You can watch 'Rowdy', especially for Mohan Babu's performance.

It will surely be appreciated by those who like crime-drama genre. If you want to watch Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu at his best, then do watch Rowdy. "

The complete absence of thrill factor is what proves to be the biggest stumbling block for the movie. Even the suspense surrounding who plans the murder attempt on Anna just isn't engaging enough. Some actors have the ability to rise above the film they are acting in. Without even wearing an iota make up, Mohan Babu manages to lend a sense of believable to the character of a good nature strongman who reigns supreme in an unspecified fiefdom in Rayalaseema. Mohan Babu is a superb actor. After M Dharmaraju MA and Rayalaseema Ramanna Chowdary, this is the most compelling character he has done in his career. "Anna (Mohan Babu) is a political heavyweight who sort of runs a parallel government in Rayalaseema. People treat him as their Messiah and come to him when Law and Order fails them. Anna has two sons – Bhushan (Kishore) and the other Krishna (Vishnu Manchu) Who is an student. Bhushan does not have his feet firmly on ground and is equally unstable with his tongue and temperament. Krishna(Manchu Vishnu) on the other hand is quiet and sincere. The story is about how father and sons go through a storm of political moves against Anna. We all know what an actor Mohan Babu is. In Rowdy, Vishnu proves that he too has got the genes. Shanvi is good. The movie is totally inspired from Sarkar and Sarkar Raj, Which are inspired from Godfather (I & II). Even then movie story is a bit different to suit the Rayalaseema flavor and regional politics. "

It's Anna's (Mohan Babu) Ram in Rayalaseema. What he says is final and he is no less than God for the people there. Anna opposes a project as it is not beneficial for the Seema people. But those who want to start the project in Seema are equally adamant in wanting to establish it there and plot to kill Anna to make things smooth for them. The rest of the film tracks how Anna's son Krishnan (Vishnu) thwarts the plans of the villains. Collection king Mohan Babu puts in a performance that cannot be replicated by others. And all credit goes to Ram Gopal Varma for showing him at his best. If you want to watch Mohan Babu at his best, then do watch Rowdy.
