Educational Fun for All Ages

Despite being much older than the intended target audience for this show I decided to give it a go being a big fan of Dick and Dom and their previous work. I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining and educational the show is, not just for children but for adults too.

Each episode focuses on a "genius" from the past who invented something we still use today. Dick and Dom then uncover how the genius came to invent their famous invention and the science behind it. The information is presented in a way that is easy for children to understand but also not too patronising which I appreciated. As the show is presented by Dick and Dom there's also a good amount of humour, particularly when the duo get hands-on and try out some science for themselves.

At the end of the episode Dick and Dom come up with their own "genius idea" relating to that of the episode. In the Wright Brothers episode for example the pair take a dangerous flight in a stunt plane.

Overall the show is good fun for people of all ages and I'd recommend it if you're an older fan of Dick and Dom interested to see what their newer shows are like. The format and content of the show reminded me a lot of Richard Hammond's "Brainiac" which I also enjoyed as a child. I'd love to see Dick and Dom present more shows similar to this one in the future.
