This is truly art

I can not help but say that "Thom And Dusty Go To Mexico" really is a piece of art to me. Don't get me wrong, it is total trash and nonsense but it is brilliant in being so. What I enjoy so much about the movie is that you can tell at every point how it doesn't take itself serious at all, but not in a plump manner like many voluntary trash movies, rather it takes the audience on a bizarre ride through a trashy world alongside two unlikely heroes.

Of course this is not great cinema in terms of a message or good craftsmanship, acting or whatsoever. But it's likable and serves a main purpose of films: entertainment. Sometimes maybe there are a few too many stereotypes included, but it never feels cruel or anything, so I think one can accept that.

If you are willing to give this film a true chance, expecting just a fun ride and a couple of laughs, you will have a great time with it. If you're looking for something more serious though, you should of course keep on searching.
