- Harvey and Mike find themselves at odds with a tenacious U.S. Attorney.
- Eric Woodall, a man hellbent on sniffing out dirty lawyers, has the US Attorneys office pick up Mike for questioning. He's gunning for Harvey, even picking up Harold Gunderson to turn on Mike so Mike will turn on Harvey. As events unfold around them, Scottie finds her issues, once again, playing second fiddle. As Harvey tires of lying to the people he loves, Mike tires of putting the people he cares about in jeopardy.—statmanjeff
- Donna and Harvey talk about Scottie and about Mike staying with the firm. They smooth things over.
Mike tells Rachel that he didn't take the job. She's unhappy he didn't make his way out and will "remain a fraud." Mike isn't ready to stop practicing law.
Next day on the street, Mike is approached by representatives from the US Attorneys' Office who insist he comes along for questioning.
In his office, Harvey tells Scottie that Mike is staying and promises to be more open with her in the future. After Scottie leaves, Donna enters with news of Mike's detainment for questioning.
Mike meets US Attorney Eric Woodall, who tells Mike he conspired to defraud the government by paying off witnesses against Ava Hessington. Mike says he didn't do anything wrong and is told by Woodall to roll over on Harvey.
Harvey shows up and demands Woodall stop speaking with Mike. Woodall says he plans to get Harold Gunderson to turn on Mike, who will then have no choice but to turn on Harvey. The inquiry ends for now, and Harvey leaves with Mike.
Louis tells Jessica that Harvey missed a meeting. He says he's worried about Harvey's health.
Donna tells Jessica that Mike was called in for questioning.
Harvey thinks James must have gone to Woodall. Mike can't believe James went back on his word and thinks he should talk to Harold. Bad idea. Eric will be waiting for that, and they need to find a way to speak with Harold "without talking to him."
Harvey spots Harold's boss Alison Holt outside Woodall's office. It turns out that she went to Woodall after speaking to James and had just fired Harold an hour ago.
Mike tells Rachel about meeting with Woodall and the fact the US Attorneys' Office wants him to turn on Harvey. She points out that, if he's charged, they'll go through his records. Mike then tells her he hacked into the bar, which should protect him. She's even angrier.
Harvey tells Jessica that Mike should be okay in terms of the bar records. He thinks Woodall doesn't have any proof. Scottie walks in and asks if the allegations have merit. Nobody says anything and she storms out.
Harvey catches her in the hallway. She says that, as a senior partner, she should know if the firm broke any laws. Donna interrupts, needing to know from Harvey what to say when she meets with Stephanie. Scottie understands she's not Harvey's top concern right now (an unfortunately frequent scenario) and leaves angrily.
Harold grabs Mike outside the firm and tells him he was fired out of the blue and has gotten a call from Woodall. Mike is careful to say they did nothing illegal, but says he can't help him. During the conversation, they are both placed under arrest.
Donna meets with Stephanie, a friend of hers who works for Woodall. Stephanie says Woodall "has nothing," but implies that he's willing to bend the law to get what he wants - ferreting out dirty lawyers.
Scottie demands Jessica tell her what is going on. Jessica replies that she thinks Scottie's deal with Harvey isn't working out.
Woodall tells Mike he's using the Patriot Act to keep Mike from calling Harvey. Woodall makes reference to doing a thorough background check on Mike. Mike holds strong, so to keep Mike from getting "bored," Woodall shows him a live shot of Harold pacing in the next room that makes it seem Harold is losing it.
Harvey tells Jessica they are going on offense with Woodall. She says Scottie has asked out of her non-compete contract. Jessica is upset she's starting to feel as shady as Darby, repeatedly covering things up. Harvey says if Scottie wants to leave they should let her.
James shows up at the firm, furious that Harvey turned him in to the bar. He held up his end of the bargain with Mike, but Harvey says that deal ended when the US Attorneys' Office came after Mike to come after him. James threatens to come after Harvey and the two exchange shoves in the hallway. Donna and others see this.
Louis, seeking Mike, demands Rachel tells him what's going on.
Donna tells Harvey she can't find Mike. Louis walks over and says Mike and Harold were arrested. Harvey and Louis head out immediately.
Woodall questioning both Mike and Harold independently. Harold says he's not going to roll on Mike and Mike says he's not going to roll on Harvey. To Woodall, their answers seem "well rehearsed."
On the way to Woodall's office, Louis asks Harvey whether or not they broke the law. Harvey says "we have exposure."
Woodall lists off the jail time Mike and Harold are facing. He tells each of them they'll face decades in prison, and he'll make sure it's not a white collar facility.
Harvey thinks Louis should be the one to help Harold, in the process making sure he doesn't say anything.
Donna tells Jessica about Mike and Harold being in custody. Jessica reminds her you never know what happens when a person is in custody.
Donna finds Scottie writing a note in Harvey's office. Scottie is worried Harvey's changed "too much."
Woodall tells Mike that Harold is ready to talk. He gives Mike one more chance but Mike says nothing.
Harold and Louis arrive. Louis tells Woodall he's representing Harold. He quickly talks his way past Woodall.
Harvey tells Mike about Louis meeting Harold. They wait.
Louis walks into the interrogation room where Harold is held. Harold is initially furious, saying he thinks he's facing life in prison and may have to "give them Mike."
Jessica goes to see Rachel, saying they're going to be family and need to wait together.
Harvey tells Mike that, if it comes to it, he needs to turn him in to avoid jail time. Mike doesn't want to do it. Refuses to do it. Their conversation gets heated, then Louis and Harold walk in and tell them "it's over."
Woodall stops Harvey on his way out and says he's not dropping the case against him. Harvey thinks he has enough to come after Woodall for malicious prosecution, and that seems to shut Woodall up.
Harvey, Mike and Louis return to the firm. Mike and Rachel embrace and he apologizes.
Harvey tells Jessica she was right about them crossing the line and being Darby. She says she hasn't told Scottie their decision in regard to letting her go.
Harvey finds Scottie in her office and tells her she's being allowed out of her non-compete and buy-in. He then tells her about Mike not going to law school. He says he's telling her because she accused Jessica of being Darby, when it was really him. She says she still can't stay, and he says he "wants to stop lying to the people I love."
Harvey gives Donna an update on Scottie. She assures him he's a good man. He's not sure, based on what he did to James. She says she stopped the investigation into James, calling in another favor.
Mike reminds Harvey of all the shady things that have happened since he was hired. He says he's called Jonathan and took the job. Mike asks Harvey for permission to go and they shake hands. "You're a good man, Harvey," he says. Mike tells him he's not really leaving, since they are clients of Harvey. Harvey now works for Mike.
