An afro touch to a common story
ngandacinema10 October 2022
We've seen many movies with main characters having a tormented past and going down memory lane; but Tainted Canvas brought zest by adding an afro touch annnnd the natural acting sublimed it all

DELICIOUS

-The color yellow! It was overtly noticeable, especially in Morayo's outfits. Yellow was a good pick as it represents pain and hurt

-The girl playing young Morayo (Jemima Aderemi) was feisty 😄 well done!

What can you say when you have Tina Mba, Kehinde Bankole, and Segilola Ogidan on set? 🙌🏾

-The ambiance was very calm giving us time to absorb and understand each character. The production was executed in a simple way crowned with quality dialogues, images, and direction

-The name Morayooluwa means "I have seen/witnessed the joy of the Lord"; cleverly chosen to show the contrast with Morayo who was seeking that joy but couldn't attain it

-Thank you for an innovative ending!!!

BLAND

-Score editing and color grading suffered a little.
