Ben-To knows its place as an over-the-top parody work. Most shows suffer from being blatant copies of each other and turn bland by the time the second episode pops up. However, every single episode of Ben-To is simmered, well-roasted, and served with refreshments.

A silly, comedic anime
bhermann-4060831 March 2020
A fun premise with good character development. Basically the characters engage in brutal fights over bento boxes. One of the characters in this anime, Ume Shiraume, is obsessed with another, beating up one of the characters out of jealousy while she flirts with other girls. The comedy of this series was so much I even created a silly fan fiction about it, bringing in characters from Steven Universe. I think this one deserves the current rating.
Passable

Warning: Spoilers
The animation is nice, especially the fight sequences, but the problem is that it is so monotonous, with no real change : Just fight over food in one shop. There is the occasional change (fight over food in a swimming pool), but it is all pretty samey.
Not really a good harem anime

There doesn't seem any good enough bentos in sight to make ya drool with hunger.
The animation is horrible
The characters are dull
The storyline isn't at all interesting
Glad I dropped it after the first episode even if some people think it's not enough for me to hate this anime. However first episodes can be good at showing its true colours for you to figure out if the anime is good enough or not......
