During the conversation we spoke about Adam's background and his day job as a fashion photographer, but more importantly, we spent time discussing fatherhood, living in London and what fbrough him to tie those ends into the smooth weave of what became From The Great River, a book that examines small towns in America named London. It is a project that started out about geography, but ended in a deep reflective study of what it means to be from somewhere and what it means to become a father to a son. I know this feeling well and have been amazed to watch Adam grow into his role as a father, but also as an artist, pruning FTGR into something more universal, and less oblique.
