Even though she checked "no" for "shoots nudes" on her Model Mayhem profile page, Korean-American actress and model Lena Young agreed to run around fully nude for most of the movie in order to be cast in this film, her first full feature role.
Nurse Escandalo, played by Mindy Robinson, is wearing a red Star Trek dress underneath her lab coat throughout the whole movie. The wardrobe was too big when she tried it out on set that night and she happened to have that costume in her car.

The Surprise Ending of this film (aka "The Big Reveal"), was written especially for Diane Chambers, as "Professor Hagfish", by Scotty Mullen. Director Glenn R. Miller called Diane in to shoot it on the very last night of filming for The Asylum.
