Prime Video this year has surprised us with some really good long-format content, the primary one being three web series – Patal Lok, Dupahiya, and Khauf. Now, the Ott platform is arriving with another web series, which has impressed with the trailer itself. Titled Gram Chikitsalay, the web series stars Amol Parashar and is a chapter out of Panchayat’s book.
Tvf is one of the pioneers of long-form on Ott. It started the wave with shows like Permanent Roommates, Tripling, and then finally, the mother of a social dramedy – Panchayat. In fact, the Ott viewership for Indian content can be clearly divided into the pre-Panchayat and post-Panchayat eras.
Gram Chikitsalay is a chapter from Panchayat itself, set against the backdrop of a rural healthcare center, offering a glimpse into the lives of dedicated medical professionals serving a village community.

My primary concern is – whether the South will leave anything for Bollywood.

Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, the web series, stars Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar, along with Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Milind Soman aur Dino Morea.
The trailer of The Royals promises a royal rom-com and even the credit boards of the web series seems to be heavily inspired from a Disney rom-com (and even reminds me of Khoobsurat’s title design – that film with Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan). Netflix has unveiled its 2025 content slate targeting India’s expanding streaming market. The company’s latest India lineup, shared Monday in Mumbai, is both sizable and diverse, spanning a plethora of genres across six feature films, 14 series and five unscripted titles — but it’s also more targeted than in recent years (Netflix released as many as 40 original Indian titles in 2021).

Exclusive: Veteran creative executive Kevin Plunkett has joined Wolf Entertainment as EVP Development. Reporting to the company’s COO Peter Jankowski, he will oversee scripted development, working closely with the executive teams at Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, where the company is based.

Netflix looks set to revive a classic teen drama made popular in the 2000s. A new report confirms the streamer is developing a One Tree Hill sequel series, with some of its main stars involved both on and off-camera.
According to Variety, Netflix is working on the new One Tree Hill project, which will see original show stars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and Daneel Ackles reprise their roles from the Og series. The trio will also executive produce the reboot, with Ackles doing so under her Chaos Machine imprint, which she shares with her husband and The Boys star Jensen Ackles. Maverick Film and Complex Corp have acquired “Murder Company,” an action film set during World War II. The film will be released in theaters, on demand and digital on July 5.
“Murder Company” was written by Jesse Mittelstadt (“Altitude”) and directed by Shane Dax Taylor (“The Best Man”). The film stars William Moseley, who appeared in “The Chronicles of Narnia” and “The Royals,” as well as Pooch Hall (“Ray Donovan”) Gilles Marini (“Sex in the City”) and Joe Anderson (“Hercules”). Kelsey Grammer, who recently revived “Frasier,” rounds out the ensemble.
“We’re very excited to present ‘Murder Company’ to audiences,” said Richard Switzer, president of Maverick Film. “The film is a non-stop thrill ride with a very authentic feel to it, having shot fully in Europe.”
