Sex & Nudity

- Some kissing scenes. Tony and Maria are shown to get off a bed, implying they've had sex.
- A verbal reference of sucking on a breast.
- It is implied that Anita was about to be raped by the Jets before Valentina steps in and cuts it off. Then the Jets are called "rapists" for almost going through with it.
- Tony and Maria kiss multiple times. Mostly mild
- Riff and Graziella climb out of a crane compartment and kiss; Graziella is wearing a cropped top and short-shorts that reveal cleavage, bare abdomen, back and legs to the hips. And Riff wears a tank T-shirt (we see his bare shoulders).

- Most of the profanity in the film is in Spanish, and is not subtitled.
- One of the Jets calls Anybodys "dickless".

- Multiple people die in some very emotional ways, this film is dark and very deep at times and is also pretty violent.
- Several boys, obviously not trained in gun safety, throw around a loaded weapon with reckless abandon
- An attempted rape scene based purely on the fact that said character is black and unwelcome in the white area

Violence & Gore
- The brawl scene is very intense and violent. Riff and Bernardo die from stab wounds.
- Anita slaps Maria.
- Tony is repeatedly shot from behind and later dies because of his wounds.
- A very brutal battle happens. The stunned people are off-screen
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Tony's death is very sad since he is shot by Chino and dies in Maria's arms after finding out Maria is alive
