Kim Bass was unaware that Major Dodson is autistic when he cast him as Tyson, who is also autistic.
Although limited, this was the only film to be theatrically released on March 11, 2022. Turning Red was also scheduled for this date, but was pulled from it's theatrical release and became a Disney Plus exclusive due to circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic earlier in the winter.
The intro has a runner that says "inspired by a true boy". Instead of the normal true story line.
