- Jenna plans a charity event for Billionaire Tom Redlands. But working with Tom's right hand Andrew is proving difficult, especially since Jenna and Andrew have a romantic history.
- This first story about the foster children of Angie Hartman - their family which has continued to support each other and to convene for Sunday dinners even with the children now mostly being adults - centers on event planner Jenna Whitaker, who has her own consulting firm, Thistlebird Marketing. She is willing to work Sundays even at the expense of having dinner with family so that she can make a name for herself and Thistlebird. Her current client is tech billionaire Tom Redlands, she to organize a fundraising event for his new non-profit centered on underprivileged families. In what she thought was going to be her first face-to-face meeting with Tom, she instead meets with Tom's management consultant who is to be Jenna's liaison to the company. He just happens to be Andrew Clarington, Jenna's high school sweetheart, who she was in love with at the time, that is until he broke up with her immediately after graduation. As such, Andrew has largely been known by Jenna's family as the heartbreaker type who cannot be trusted, a view especially by foster sister Shari. Drew, however, had an altruistic motive for ending their relationship which he never mentioned to her, and was in turn in love with her, those feelings which reemerge upon their meeting again. Beyond if Jenna can get over the heartbreak she felt the first time, Jenna and Drew getting back together as a couple is threatened by another man subsequently entering Jenna's life who expresses an interest in her romantically, namely Tom.—Huggo
