Sometimes ridiculous

One thing very obvious is the Amish are extremely judgemental and unforgiving. Mary, the elder Amish is ridiculous and is Amish in name only. She wants it both ways. She wants to be Amish, but she wants to do whatever she feels like, even if it goes against Amish beliefs. Jeremiah is simply a jerk. Rebecca and Abe think they know better than everyone else and if their friends don't meet their expectations, they have no use for anyone. Kate seems to be the only one living her life. I don't blame her for keeping her distance. She has goals and she is working towards accomplishing her goals. Jeremiah appears to resent Kate for this.

This show is a joke. The people go back and forth from the Amish each season!

I have seen every season of Breaking Amish and Return to Amish. In the beginning I really liked the shows as it introduced me to the Amish people. Now the show is just utter garbage. The people in the show will say that they are leaving the Amish in 1 season and then in the next season they say that they want to return and then in the next season they are leaving again and the same pattern continues for each season. It has just become a joke. I refuse to watch season 6 now, which has just started, as I don't want to get frustrated watching these loser people (Not the Amish people, but the people who are in the show). Talking about flogging a dead horse! Enough already!!!!!

Great show, but Amish church needs some outside prayers...

This is a great show. Mary's heart is so big you can't help but loving her. Chester reluctantly follows Mary, which he should, as she's smarter than she lets on, and has her priorities in the right place. The Amish church leaves a lot to be desired though. Their logic is convoluted and needs a lot of help. For some awful reason, they think 'shunning' is the proper means of getting people to follow their rules. But where in the Bible does it say that ANY church has the right to impose such draconian laws on it's congregation? And shunning only works to drive people away from the Amish, not have people stay with them. The younger generation's tired of the Amish church mistreating people, causing more to leave than ever before. But I really want to know what God it is that tells the church that members of the church, shunned or not, can't attend the wedding of the children God brought into their lives if said children have decided to leave the Amish church. Its not the job of any church to judge us. That job's already been spoken for. If the Pope didn't make the cut, than I doubt the Amish church did either. I hope we get to join with Mary and Chester's family for another season next year. I wish them all the luck in the meantime.

Latest season was so much fun

I only watched the most recent season with the two female friends who went English. Not only did it contain many laughs, but it also touched my heart in a that I did not expect. I'll probably watch it a second time.

Like the season 6 two girls so real. Annoyed by the old ones so vulgar. And theres different one with the Mennonites that is so stypid theyre like normal people they are not out of normal society.
