Sex & Nudity

  • The film contains some verbal sexual references, usually made by the female protagonist and her female friend as they discuss about sex, and by the female protagonist's parents who have a healthy sex life which is affected by their daughters sudden decision to leave them. These references are mostly verbal and comedic in nature.
  • The strongest scene involves one of the female protagonist's female friends who ends up sleeping with the former's brother when he tries to teach her sign language. However, the sexual act is implied through the use of a pair of dolls on a table. The act itself is not depicted.

Violence & Gore

  • In one scene, the father slaps the oldest daughter (the main character) for no reason, right after she got her first period. Right before that, the mother embarrassed her child showing her dirty underwear to her family and friends without the child's consent. This is comedy-coded but it can be very violent to many people due to the neglect from the parents to their female child.

Profanity

  • The film contains two instances where the swear word 'fuck' is uttered by the characters for emphasis and out of frustration.
