Sex & Nudity

  • Neither of the sex scenes.scenes contains graphic detail. One of the scenes occurs on the pilot's seat of a plane in flight.
  • Barry Seal moons (shows his butt to) his family a few times.
  • There is a brief shot of an outdoor party where bare male and female backsides can be seen briefly.
  • A woman and man having sex twice during the movie. One time it contains sounds.

Violence & Gore

  • Violence is mostly implied rather than shown visually throughout the film.
  • All the action scenes in the film are of a non-violent nature.
  • A car explodes and a man is killed. Not graphic
  • A man is in a car and another approaches with a gun. He points the gun at the window and the scene freeze frames and we hear a gunshot. The man is killed.

Profanity

  • 65 uses of "fuck", and 1 use of "cunt". Several uses of "shit"
  • Before a character dies in a car explosion he goes in his car and drives he then sticks up the middle finger

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Although this film focuses on drugs, little drug use is shown on-screen. However, there are several verbal drug references throughout the film, mostly for ironic effect.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The freeze-framed gunshot scene may be frightening to some, but the freeze will relieve you sometimes.

  • This film is about a TWA pilot who became a drug runner as well during the 1980s. Smuggling cocaine is the central part of the story.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The War on Drugs and the Central American insurgencies are the backdrop to the story, in which the scenes can be tense. However, the related violence is not shown.
  • In the end of the movie Barry Seal die, it is quite unexpected.
