Welcome back to Dead Time. Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction and sometimes things really do go bump in the night. The paranormal is often portrayed in horror movies for maximum dramatic effect, which doesn’t quite reflect the reality of what it’s like to have a paranormal experience. We watch horror movies about ghosts and demonic possessions because we like to be scared, but don’t you sometimes wonder what paranormal phenomena is like in real life?
To answer that question, this month, I was excited to talk with actress, paranormal investigator, and self-described “rock n rollin’, death defying witch” Susan Slaughter. Susan has starred in several horror movies such as Slay Belles, Bliss, and The Dawn. Susan also gives her expert opinion on videos of unexplained phenomena on Travel Channel’s popular television show Paranormal Caught on Camera and has also appeared on shows like Syfy’s Ghost Hunters International.

To celebrate the recent release of the horror anthology Tales of Halloween (now available on iTunes and all VOD platforms), Daily Dead spoke to the filmmakers behind the movie to discuss the project, their individual contributions and more.
Darren Lynn Bousman exploded onto the horror scene in 2005, taking over the Saw franchise with Saw II and turning the series into a household name at the helm of the first three sequels. He has since balanced studio projects with fiercely independent, more personal cult films like Repo! The Genetic Opera and The Devil’s Carnival. His contribution to Tales of Halloween, “The Night Billy Raised Hell,” stars Barry Bostwick as Satan pulling a series of dark pranks on Halloween night. It’s the lightest thing Bousman has made yet, and also the funniest.

When you add a pinch of '80s nostalgia with a dash of action and gore and mix them together you get Turbo Kid, which will be released in the U.K. on Blu-ray in October. Also: an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from Extinction and first details on the web series It Came from Candi's Lab.
Turbo Kid: Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release Turbo Kid on Blu-ray in the U.K. on October 5th. Turbo Kid stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, Michael Ironside, Edwin Wright, and Aaron Jeffery.
From Blu-ray.com: "Synopsis: Turbo Kid is a celebration of all things that were awesome about the age of movies on VHS.
