Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Fantastical fight sequences involving laser weapons and hand-to-hand combat. All the characters are, essentially, plastic toys, so the violence is undetailed.
  • Lego limbs occasionally fall off.

Profanity

  • A teenage vampire calls Lucy a "Grumpledumpuss"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Lego people drink what is implied to be alcohol at a bar, but it is brief and done in the humorous manner.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Characters are often in danger but there's never any serious threat or harm, thanks mainly to the film's fun tone.
  • Slightly darker than the first film, but still pretty family friendly.
  • There are slightly intense scenes in the film.
  • The duplo monster screams in s loud, high-pitched way.
  • In a heated argument, Emmett says "The real Lucy would never say that!". This quote may upset some viewers.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • When Emmet and Rex are fighting, Rex pounds on Emmet so hard that his legs slightly come off. They reassemble after Lucy comes to stop Rex.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The Our-Mom-Aggedon scene can be really intense and emotional for viewers. The characters are sucked into the black void and put into storage. They manage to get out using spaceships.
  • The sad ending is very upsetting, but Lucy interrupted in order to get the "happy ending".
