- The fights between Gru/Dru and Evil Bratt are a bit violent.
- A man has a permanently swollen-shut eye and a small scar on one cheek.
- A man wraps a bandage around a crying character's scraped knee and we see a few red scratches.
- A robot releases giant bubbles and laser beams into the streets of Los Angeles as a woman screams in close-up into the camera and a laser beam cuts through the center of streets, leaving flames and a burning trench.
- A villain points a ray gun at two other man and many robots chase them through a hall, denting a metal wall they cannot penetrate as the two men fall off a disappearing ledge outside and are caught by a woman in a helicopter using a plunger on the end of a cable; the building they were in explodes into billows of smoke and flames.
- Several flashbacks show a child star of the Evil Bratt TV show inside a giant robot of himself as he chases men and women, using a laser beam to burn through a book, and to shoot beside people, scaring them into running and screaming; he blows large bubbles of gum and uses shooters on his shoulders to shoot big bubbles at buildings and people to "slime" them or disable them.
- A flashback shows large soldiers screaming at a giant robot and huge bubbles of gum covering their city; a child in the robot cuts the city out of the Earth with a wide laser beam and sends it drifting out into space.
- A man in a rocket plane is swarmed by small robot dolls, squealing and shooting lasers; the plane explodes loudly in smoke and some flames as the man bounces on a palm tree and lands in the street unconscious, where a flaming trench passes by him.
- The two men drive a vehicle through town, chased by police on bicycles and the bikes and the car jump over a herd of pigs and drive down a stone staircase; the car drives up a cliff wall, goes down a country road, missing a farm cart and causing a tiny car to swerve off the road and stops against a utility pole (we see no damage); police officers chase the car, which dives down a hole in the pavement and comes up in a river.
- Two men wearing rubber body suits fly a jet car to a tall building and launch themselves at it, sticking to a wall; one of the men slides down toward spikes, stops just before reaching them, climbs and stumbles and the other man struggles to get him through a hole in a wall as many missiles are aimed at one man then go back inside; one man inflates his suit like a balloon and the air escapes, causing him to fly around, but land safely on a floor.
- A man wearing a fat suit enters a vault and licks a diamond, climbs out of the fat suit and fires tranquilizer darts into the noses of five men, who pass out and he steals the diamond.
- A man enters a giant robot and finds electrical wires, and he breaks a glass box with his fist and disconnects the wires, causing the giant to disintegrate.
- We see a tall block of carbonite with an elderly man (Dr. Nefario) frozen in its surface.
- Two men find a long wall filled floor-to-ceiling with robot dolls and one man gets shot in the eye with a robot laser (he is uninjured); the men enter a bubble gum production room and we see several vats of bubbling liquid as one man chews some gum and later, large thick bubbles roll out of his mouth uncontrollably.
- A large sea vessel fills up with gum bubbles, soldiers point rifles at a man, and they are blown up with a Rubik's cube that explodes into colorful smoke.
- A man steals three young girls and deposits them on a high building ledge; they are later rescued by a woman who jumps across giant rubbery bubbles, grabs a length of gum as a bungee cord and lands them on the street safely.
- A group of short characters fly away with a man in a large silver vessel as they hold battleaxes and maces and the scene ends.
- Two men dance-fight while throwing punches that miss but landing a few kicks each in the stomach and back; one man uses a keyboard power-throwing machine to play loud music and push back his opponent (please see the Sex/Nudity category for more details) and the second man is blown away, not injured.
- Two men dance-fight, landing kicks and some punches, throwing one man into a wall, but unharmed and the other man uses a keyboard machine to blow his opponent back with colorful musical waves and one man flies away as he calls out, "Curse you, curse you!"
- Three young girls watch as their mother punches, kicks, and throws several men to the floor, unconscious; she pulls a dart from a man's nose and sticks it into another man's nose, with both men shouting, "Ouch!"
- A woman slaps a man's face, and then pulls off a mask to show that it was not a woman but a villain and the woman is actually tied up in a closet (she is released later).
- A still shot shows that a man was fired as a teenager for having bad acne: large pimples and red spots are seen covering his entire face; in a flashback he shouts angrily and punches the camera lens, which cracks.
- Minions pile up a thousand bundles of dynamite and the camera cuts to a long shot where we see a giant bubble covering part of a city expel air through a hole and flatten and the characters fall from the sky into the foreground, covered in gum but unharmed.
- Many Minions walk in the rain and enter a TV studio, where they perform a song and dance until several police officers arrest them with one officer swinging a club at them; we see the Minions in prison wearing striped uniforms and they scare the large prisoners by snapping towels at them, shouting nonsense and dancing in formations.
- A man in a muscle car raises and lowers it with the super-air shocks while staring at a woman in a larger vehicle (please see the Sex/Nudity category for more details); the driver of the second car smashes his vehicle sideways into the muscle car, destroying it against a building (we do not see the first driver again).
- A monster-dog with large teeth barks, rips up a newspaper, and snaps at a man visiting his owner's yard, then bites the man's leg (no blood) and hangs onto the leg through several scenes; the animal's owner changes a vacuum cleaner into a rocket and propels the man into the sky, but he limps back into to the yard.
- Gru and Lucy are both thrown off out of an airship.
Profanity

- At the starting of the movie "Loser" is said 2 times.
- Jeez is said once.
- "Idiots" is also used.
- Balthazar Bratt says "Son of a betamax", a 80's style clean way for son of a b**ch.

- After getting the diamond, Gru and Dru argue about villainy and heroics. Gru insults him, and they break up. This can be emotional.
- As Balthazar Bratt is blasting his laser all over Hollywood, Agnes screams in a loud, high-pitched, insane way.
- The scene where the minions quit Gru for "no returning to villainy" can be a little sad.

Sex & Nudity
- Girls at the start of the movie at the scene on the beach wear bikinis, there is cleavage.
- When the minions are in prison, one of them pulls his pants down to get a tattoo.
- There are Two Scenes where Balthazar Bratt uses a guitar to blow off Gru's clothes in the Second Scene (Final Battle) Gru got the keyboard guitar and blew off Bratt's Clothes.
- In a shower scene in prison, a minion can be seen "dropping the soap", although it's not very noticeable.

- Balthazar Bratt was inches away from incinerating Gru with his robot laser.
