While Tom Holland continues his press tour for Spider-Man: Homecoming, the actor has revealed that the Marvel One-Shot short films is being resurrected. This comes just a few days after the young actor confirmed an Iron Man 2 fan theory, that the young boy with the Iron Man mask who stands up to a powerful drone, is in fact a much younger version of his Peter Parker character. Now it seems the actor has spilled the beans on another Marvel project in the waiting, after revealing he wants to make a short film with Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
These revelations come during a new Uproxx interview with Tom Holland for Spider-Man: Homecoming, where the actor was asked if he would like another McU character to swing by, like Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark, in the already-confirmed Spider-Man: Homecoming 2. The actor revealed the he would love for Paul Rudd to come by as Ant-Man,...

If Avengers: Age of Ultron helped to prove anything, it's that no one can wield Mjolnir. Except maybe Captain America, who may have been faking it. Thor's legendary hammer was laid out like a party trick, and the rest of his comrades were offered the chance to pick it up. They all failed, though Steve Rogers was able to nudge it ever so slightly. And Vision easily handed it back to Thor, but he's an android and doesn't count. A new deleted scene from Thor: The Dark World teases that Loki might have the power to swing this mighty weapon. Maybe.
The Thor 2 deleted scene arrives as part of the 13-Disc Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection, which is in stores just in time for the holiday gift giving season. But as we learn from watching this scene, it is all an illusion. We get to watch Locki's coronation,...

Marvel's final Phase Two adventure Ant-Man is currently available on Digital HD starting today, before arriving on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Sd and VOD on December 8. Before you pick up your Digital HD copy, Entertainment Weekly has released a new deleted scene with commentary from director Peyton Reed and star/co-writer Paul Rudd, which has a unique Easter Egg that ties into the Iron Man franchise. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) himself isn't featured in this scene, but there is a reference to one of his villains.
The scene features Corey Stoll's Darren Cross, a.k.a. Yellowjacket, putting on a presentation for numerous buyers that shows some of the practical applications of the shrinking technology he has developed. The presentation shows massive shipping containers shrunk down to one small cube, and an enormous landfill that has been shrunk to fit in the palm of your hand.

Over the past few years, Marvel fans were treated to bonus short films known as Marvel One-Shot's, which were included on most of the studio's Blu-ray and DVD releases. Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King was the last one the studio put out, attached to the Blu-ray and DVD release of Thor: The Dark World last year, and some fans are wondering if we've seen the last of these short films. While promoting Marvel's latest release, Ant-Man, in theaters July 17, Kevin Feige revealed to Collider that even he is disappointed there haven't been any new Marvel One-Shots, and that they have a number of different ideas for future shorts, but he doesn't known when they will actually happen.
I'm disappointed too! Frankly, and I think it would be great to see more one-shots. We'll see... You look at me as if I'm the only person who controls that decision; I wish that were the case.

With Phase Two coming to a close later this year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is slated to expand even more with a nine-movie Phase Three that kicks off with next year's Captain America: Civil War. Marvel Studios is also expanding its brand on the small screen, with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel's Agent Carter and four Netflix shows that kick off with Marvel's Daredevil next week. The studio also produces a number of animated TV shows that aren't connected to the McU, but at Emerald City Comic Con last weekend, Cort Lane, Marvel's VP of Animation Development and Production, was asked if there are any plans to produce any animated content that would tie into the McU. Here's what he had to say.
"I can't announce anything, but things are in the works."
What those "things" are, we do not know, but the studio does currently have animated shows Avengers Assemble...

Warner Bros. has added yet another movie to its expansive Lego franchise, with writers Jason Segel (The Muppets) and Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) signing on to write the script and co-direct a new project entitled The Billion Brick Race. This project will be the fourth to be spawned from last year's blockbuster The Lego Movie. Warner Bros. is currently working on Ninjago (September 23, 2016), The Lego Batman Movie (May 26, 2017) and The Lego Movie Sequel slated for release sometime in 2018.
No specific details were given, but the story is based on an original idea that Drew Pearce came up with, which "excited the studio," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Billion Brick Race will be both Jason Segel and Drew Pearce's directorial debuts, although no release date was given at this time. Since Warner Bros. currently has Lego movies planned until 2018, it's certainly possible they could be aiming for a 2019 release,...

"Iron Man 3" Spoilers Ahead
So just who is The Mandarin?
As we saw in "Iron Man 3," Ben Kingsley played Trevor Slattery, a failed British actor who was pretending to be The Mandarin - the most dangerous terrorist in the world and the leader of the mysterious Ten Rings organisation.
While Slattery's take on the Mandarin was an apparent smoke screen thought up by Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), the Ten Rings is a real group in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the subsequent short film "Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King," we see an incarcerated Trevor Slattery broken out of jail by a minion of the 'real' The Mandarin.
So who is the real Mandarin? Out doing promotion for "The Boxtrolls," Ben Kingsley teased to IGN that he might know. In fact it might be him after all:
"Has the Mandarin invented Trevor, or has Trevor invented the Mandarin?...

Earlier today, it was announced that Captain America: The Winter Soldier would be hitting Blu-ray and DVD on September 9, and it was believed to include a new Marvel One-Shot. But Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that's not the case. There will be no new Marvel One-Shot created for this upcoming release.
Marvel hasn't confirmed that it is ending its run of Marvel One-Shot short films, which so far include 2011's Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer and Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant, 2012's Marvel One-Shot: Item 47, 2013's Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter and 2014's Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. If a new short is made, fans won't see it until the Guardians of the Galaxy home video release this winter.
This news comes as a surprise, since the shorts are incredibly popular, and have even inspired two TV series, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel's Agent Carter.

Ant-Man will have more than one villain, though we don't yet know who they are. We know who will be playing one of the bad guys though, as Avatar and Escape Plan actor Matt Gerald has joined the cast.
This is an interesting move, since Matt Gerald is no stranger to the Marvel universe. He recently appeared as White Power Dave in Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King, which was a spin-off of Iron Man 3 and featured that film's villain, Mandarin (really an actor named Trevor Slattery) giving an interview from prison. Is Matt Gerald reprising his role as White Power Dave? That is entirely possible. His character is still alive and well, residing as an inmate at Seagate Prison. The same prison that houses Luke Cage, a character rumored to have a cameo in Ant-Man, which will set up his solo Netflix series in 2015. Here is a clip...

Now that filming for The Avengers: Age of Ultron is in full swing across the globe, Marvel Studios is gearing up for production next month on its "Phase Three" launcher, Ant-Man, in Atlanta, Georgia. According to the ever-reliable Deadline, the latest name attached to the Edgar Wright-directed adaptation is Matt Gerald. Best known for his roles in Avatar, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Showtime's Dexter, the actor will apparently play "one of the bad guys," but his character may be already established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Matt Gerald played 'White Power Dave' opposite Sir Ben Kingsley in the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King, which featured on Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray. However, the casting report fails to acknowledge Gerald's minor role in the short film. Therefore, it is unknown if he will play the same character in Ant-Man. Anyhow, Matt Gerald joins an ever-growing cast that so far includes Paul Rudd,...

The evening's event kicked off immediately with the short film, written and directed by "Iron Man 3" scribe Drew Pearce and starring Sir Ben Kingsley. For 15 minutes, viewers get a glimpse into the life of fake Mandarin, Trevor Slattery (Kingsley), after the events of the third "Iron Man" film. In lock up at a high security prison due to his part in the Aldrich Killian/Mandarin plot, the story unfolds as a documentarian with access to Trevor attempts to dig deeper into the apparently shallow actor, digging up footage of Trevor's first big acting break on a CBS '80s TV show called "Caged Heat...

One of the numerous special features attached to the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD release of Thor: The Dark World, is the latest Marvel short film, Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. Last night, I headed down to the Arclight Hollywood for a screening of this short, which features Ben Kingsley reprising his Iron Man 3 role as Trevor Slattery, the British actor who tricked the world into thinking he was a dangerous terrorist known as The Mandarin. These shorts have become big hits with the fans, but All Hail the King is by far the biggest one yet, that you surely won't want to miss.

With the release of Thor: The Dark World on DVD and Blu-ray just a few weeks away, Marvel have started releasing various clips and featurette excerpts from the highly anticipated release.

Of course, the home release features even more than all of this, including the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail The King, starring Sir Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery/The Mandarin.
Thor: The Dark World is released on DVD, Blu-ray, and Blu-ray 3D in the UK and 24th February and the Us on February 25th.

A lot of comic book fans were far from pleased by Marvel Studios’ decision to turn The Mandarin into a dim-witted impersonator being used by A.I.M. as the face of terrorist organisation, The Ten Rings, in Iron Man 3. However, few had many issues with Sir Ben Kingsley’s hilarious performance, and he will be returning to the role of Trevor Slattery in a 14-minute Marvel One-Shot which will be included on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray later this year.
According to EW, “All Hail The King” serves as an epilogue to Iron Man 3 and perhaps even a prelude to a fourth instalment of the franchise. The short picks up with Trevor in a maximum security prison (Seagate prison; the same location in which Luke Cage gained his powers in the comics) where he is enjoying his newfound infamy. As it turns out, The Ten Rings...
