I so wanted to like this movie
kendhni7 July 2014
I am a massive fan of the TV series and was really excited to hear that a movie was being made. It had some highlights but overall it was major disappointment. Sadly, much of the humour was very unoriginal or very dated (reminded me of Les Dawson) or low brow stereotyping of the Chinese and Russians that was so bad I actually cringed rather than laughed. There is something wrong when the funniest bit was the outtakes shown during the final titles.

I also found the sound track to be a bit over the top.

Guys you are better than this movie, the TV show proves this - maybe the formula simply does not port well to movies.

I hated it, and I'm a fan of the series.

The Authorities try to shut down Mrs Brown's fruit and veg stall.

Was the movie the point in time where the series started to dip, prior to this the show seemed to be at its peak, I think fans like myself wanted to love this movie, but sadly it just wasn't very good.

Why is it that so many films fail to translate well from the comedy TV series, it reminds me of the awful Nan movie, some genuinely funny moments in the TV series, here though, it just wasn't funny.

The jokes fell flat, it was quite a painful watch, they get away with the jokes over half an hour, but ninety minutes, it was just too much. One or two of the moments where the cast laughed at the mistakes were funny, sadly the actual planned gags were excruciating.

I'd class myself as a real fan of the show, and I will be one of those that watch it regardless, but this movie truly was a clunker.

Had this worked, more movies would surely have followed, sadly this just wasn't any good.

Sadly it was awful.

Not as funny as the television shows
Prismark1013 June 2019
You know what you are going to get with Mrs Brown. Low brow silly comedy.

This is a big budget version of the television show. It has outside location shooting in Dublin rather than it all being based in a television studio. They even include some scripted corpsing.

Of course there has already been a Mrs Brown movie before. Anjelica Huston starred as Agnes Browne and directed the movie back as well back in 1999. It was more whimsical and featured Agnes Brown running her market stall.

The market stall is a plot device in this movie. Some Russians with the help of a crooked Irish politician want to close the market and build a shopping centre. Coincidentally Mrs Brown has received a tax demand running into millions of Euros.

It is all a bit far fetched and lacks the core elements of the television series which made it enjoyable and at times amusing. At one point you have people dressed up as ninjas looking for a tax receipt written in braille but it just feels dragged out.

Brendan O'Carroll has struggled to extend this for a feature film and it does stink of a cash in at a time when the BBC series was getting high ratings.

A generous 2/10, I'm afraid.
sean732673265 July 2014
If reviews were to be believed, we would all think D'Movie was a film about Nazis that clubbed baby seals to death. That's literally the reception this movie has received; I haven't seen a single good one. Even massive fans seem to have been bitterly disappointed with it. In spite of this, I attended a screening of it this evening (with my expectations lowered to subterranean levels, granted).

Now, the series has never been a critical favourite. It has been slated and dragged through the mud since its inception and to be fair, I can see why. I'm a casual admirer of the series but it's very, very old fashioned. So dated is the humour, it could pass for a BBC sitcom from the 70's were it not for the HD format. Its brand of humour is also very, well, cheap. Easy. Not that that's a bad thing... per say. It's certainly still funny. It works mostly because it's too jovial to dislike. The actors aren't great but they get the job done, and O'Carrol is admittedly fantastic as Mrs. Brown.

So, what happened D'Movie? The truth is, the big screen magnifies every little flaw the series has. Small things that are forgivable or even enjoyable in half-hour- interrupted-by-a-break format are downright deal breaking in this longer, less digestible format. The acting is showed up as being absolutely terrible, and the constant childish and cheap humour that gives us a laugh on telly wears thin very quickly here. The expanded scope of the plot also means that a lot of the better, more subtle family related and situational humour from the series is lost because it simply doesn't have a place here. Sure, there are a few laughs but not many for a film this long, and many "jokes" are simply embarrassing. One of the very worst is when O'Carrol loses the wig and plays a "Chinese" man by squinting his eyes and speaking in a clichéd and very stereotypical manner. That stops being funny by the time people turn 10; what's it doing here, dragged on for a laborious amount of time?

This also highlights another problem from the series that gets magnified here; the every so slight mean streak running through the script. I'm not going to call them "racist" or "discriminatory", because they're not, but such blatant use of stereotyping in place of humor really pushes its luck in a film that already calls for near-charity for it to be laughed at. If I was Russian or Chinese I'm pretty sure I'd find this film offensive; for that matter, I am gay, and watching I realized that the character Rory is a other embarrassing stereotype milked aggressively for laughs, and to be honest it's almost insulting. Don't get me wrong; humour riffing on stereotypes can be great (which, to be fair, is done very well in the series), but here it just wallows in it instead of creating comedy, and it feels plain mean, which is an absolute pity when the few laughs it did get were actually from the more good natured jokes.

Other problems arise just from the sheer laziness from other facets of production. The opening sequence is just abysmal, featuring the kind of "dancing" that would be considered embarrassing in a village pantomime (literally); a problem not helped by the fact it's repeated at the end instead of a proper finale, like the brilliant sing song at the end of one of the episodes on telly. The soundtrack is downright atrocious, too, often with cliché orchestral cues when a joke is cracked, or typical weepy music when something sad is happening. By the time one of Westlife's dreadful ballads rolls around in one of the key scenes, you may just need the sick bucket.

So far I've slated the movie, and to be honest I could go on and on because it's just an excruciatingly bad film. It really, really is an absolute disaster; if this hadn't been a television series before this was released, I probably would have given it a 1, honestly. But, as I say up top, it's a generous 2. Why? Well, truth be told, one thing shines through; it has a lot of spirit, which at times nearly (NEARLY) makes up for all the flaws. As I said, Brendan is honest to god fantastic as Mrs. Brown; nobody could play her better. The few laughs the film does manage are enough to remind you how really funny the series is, too, even though they show how bad the rest of the film is. None of these things save this production though; with this script, nothing could have.

I feel like I've over-analyzed this film, but I don't think I have, really. It simply doesn't work, and I've tried to root out the reasons why. Many people might think that none of these things matter, well, I say otherwise. Good film comedy runs like an engine, and this one has too many small problems under the hood to really get going, eventually just becoming one big problem. I've heard Mr. O'Carrol plans on making a trilogy; let's hope next time (if there is one) he manages to weed out the problems present here to make something closer in quality to the series.

Oh dear
cliveoseman27 July 2014
I really looked forward to seeing this. I love the TV show. Put simply though, like so many great television comedies, it just doesn't work in a full length movie. Of course there are funny (or at least mildly amusing) moments, but just not enough of them to carry the rather absurd plot. The solicitor's character and affliction had rich comedic potential, but was wasted in style. Hopefully this disappointing effort will not damage the reputation of what is a great success story. If you get bored like I did, at least the last line gets the biggest laugh of the whole thing (at least it did when I was there). However, that says more about the quality of what has gone before than it does about that moment.

Very poor.

Yet another 2 hours of my life wasted

Warning: Spoilers
Where do I begin?

I can forgive the dated "humour", I can forgive(well maybe not) the racist blind ninja character (using herro instead of hello etc), I can even forgive the totally ludicrous plot line (£96 in old money becomes a debt of 4 million euro).

These can be forgiven IF the film was funny. Sadly it just isn't. Well that's not true, there was an outtake that made me smirk once, but honestly this film is just plain awful!

I mean the grandad character is now a former IRA terrorist and they use a plot line of planting a carbomb is supposed to be funny!

Brendan O'Carroll claimed Irish comedy is different to typical English humour. Hence I watched this film and gave him the benefit of the doubt. Now, maybe I'm biased, maybe I am spoiled by watching Father Ted or IT Crowd or Black Books (all written by IRISH writers BTW), maybe I am not the target audience. But this was just painful to watch.

To use his words for feck sake they didn't even have the Mrs Brown Theme tune!

TBF there was a group in front of me who laughed throughout, but then again, these same people thought it a good idea to come in late and then shout where are we seated, and THEN shouting sorry for shouting! If that is the target audience, then fair do.

I didn't expect much from this film, it failed to deliver on what I expected.

Father Ted this is NOT.

Let's just say I wont be rushing out to get it on DVD!

AVOID LIKE THE FECKING PLAGUE!

Its D'pits..........
FlashCallahan19 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
So the titular character owes €3.8 million in taxes, and has to pay it or her livelihood will be taken away.

That's the story. Other sub lots involve the Russian Mafia, Racism. Blind Ninjas, Sexism, breaking the fourth wall on several occasions, and then pretending to do an outtake halfway through the film, because hey, a lot of the people who watch this abomination on TV wouldn't know what good comedy was even if they were visited by The Spanish Inquisition....

And truth be told, its terrible, from beginning to end, its cringeworthy stuff, and as soon as the titular character turns over and broke wind at the beginning, just confirmed the shameful, lazy writing that this thing has.

The breaking of the fourth wall is awful, but the worse thing that this film has, are the silly out takes that we get 'treated to' in the second act, its clear that they are staged.

All in all, yes, it's made a shedload of money, but that doesn't mean that many people liked it.

Come the end of the film, I saw Keith Duffy, and realised I wasn't actually watching the film, I was just looking at the screen, bored senseless.

Do not treat your 'mammy' to this, this Christmas, as all the advertising will no doubt say.

A poisonous cash in, stopping people seeing something decent at the cinema.

Warning: Spoilers
Words fail me, I honestly can not find the words to describe how poor this movie is, I mean, where do I start? Poor acting, weak story, not funny. very predictable. There was a time when Mrs Brown's boys was funny, but only once. It has far outstayed it's welcome on the small screen and if this movie is anything to go by the big screen too.

This movie, in my opinion did not contain one thing that I found funny and I think the whole Mrs Brown character is now well past its sell by date.

The story itself is poorly executed and dragged out for far too long. The acting is poor, very poor, and every scene is so predictable. It has obviously got bad guys in the movie and surprise surprise they are portrayed as Russian, how unoriginal and cliché is that?

This movie could have been better with a bit more thought and originality, it is almost as if they have taken a TV sketch and tried to stretch it into a movie and failed miserably. There are too many looks at camera, fine in the show, this doesn't work in a movie. They even keep some out-takes in the movie, Why? It just is not funny. I Think the main problem is that the writers and performers think they are funnier than they actually are.

This is the sort of movie that should have gone straight to DVD. Expect to see it in the bargain bucket in a store near you soon. Very VERY poor movie.

Lighten up people!
accounts_only15 February 2015
OK, this movie is not perfect but it's worth watching! The plot is a great idea and the characters are up to their normal shenanigans. Buster is a stand out character for me giving us a lot of laughs and some crazy action sequences but i think what most people are forgetting is the big story line. The film's general theme is not to let other people win and to come together in desperate times, obviously something a lot of people reviewing here can't understand.

Overall this film is quite good and definitely a film i will watch over and over again. It's still very funny (not as funny as the show but still a good laugh) and the action sequences (played for laughs) are fun to watch. It's a film you can watch when you're feeling blue because it makes you want to stand up and fight people who are trying to knock you down!

Don't bother watching!!
Jude318428 June 2014
I was super excited to see this movie, I loved all of the series and often laughed until I had to run to the bathroom so when the news came that the movie was coming out I booked tickets straight away.

WELL...we have just returned from the cinema after leaving before the film even ended. It's the biggest load of rubbish I've ever watched. It's just doesn't work as a movie...everything I love about the series just isn't in the film! I managed a few smirks in the hour that I sat there for and that was a push...we stayed sat for the last half hour of that hour in the hope that it would get better but it just didn't. Numb bottoms all round for nothing!!

That's 1 hour of my life I will never get back!! Very disappointed.

A Good Laugh
patdesmo27 June 2014
Exactly what I had expected, a snapshot of a Dublin community, difficult task portraying it to such a wide fan base. Great pictures of Dublin, shown off in all its beauty, underneath the comedy a real subject is being dealt with the developers have spent many years trying to close it down, yet markets like it thrive in city's allover the world. As always there is no hidden meaning and no punches pulled. To those who complain about the language, do you walk around Dublin ? This is reality in the areas portrayed. As for those who say some of it is over the top ? The cinema is the place for over the top ! This is about Dublin shot in Dublin with Dublin people, not a set in Pinewood or Hollywood. A comedy played for laughs and succeeds. Well done Brendan I would not expect less.

It was OK..
alandevro6228 June 2014
Let me begin by saying I am a fan of the show. But this movie was kind of a let down. There was a few very funny parts but they tried and failed to give the movie a sad tone and it just didn't work out. During the sad part I have to admit I was bored. There were also a lot of flaws throughout that could've easily been spotted. And there were also a 4th wall break that kind of took me out of the scene I think it just should've been left in the bloopers all that happened was they started laughing right in middle of the scene. I don't think u should waste your money seeing this because I would say it's only a little time before it's shown on TV.

Feckin Terrible!
grahamwilson-ifa1 July 2014
Well... Were do I start?! £19.80 was the cost of 2 tickets and I can safely say that it was stolen from me! I almost called the police today after walking out 60 minutes in.

Me and my mum especially are fans of the TV show like everyone's saying here on IMDb, but I can safely tell you reading this that we are far from a fan of this movie!

The story line is awful, the jokes are even worse (that's if you can call them jokes at all). The acting is ropey at best, in fact for some reason the acting is far far worse than the TV series, it's like they've been replaced by robot versions whilst the actual actors have gone on holiday.

This is simply a cash in on the Mrs Brown success from over the years! Whatever you do DO NOT GO AND SEE THIS MOVIE! Save your money and use the £20 for something far more amusing like buying £20's worth of apples!

Now, I LOVE Mrs Brown on TV, I think she is a classic TV creation and I love the way the action moves and never let's you forget they are filming it live, including the out takes as they happen. Where as most sitcom-movie transfers are usually really bad ( so many to name but recently Keith Lemon and Harry Hill) some manage it (the Inbetweeners, Alan Partridge) and I hoped that using that same TV savvy,, it may be OK.. To be fair it starts OK with a nice musical number getting everything set up.. But that's pretty much the end. The story tries to be serious, tries to be about 'home' and 'change' and 'acceptance ' but ends up not saying much at all.. It's a little bit racist if anything. The TV version has 25 minutes to pack in as many gags as it can.. This movie packs in the same amount of gags in 100 minutes.. I was bored. It also seemed they had sidelined a lot of the lead characters and most of them ended up with little or no dialogue at all. The other thing missing was the trick of the TV ,, the filmed and repeated miss-step. There are a couple in the movie,, but not enough and as usual the gag reel in the credits was funnier than the film. We also miss the live laughter track with a lot of the jokes not giving Mrs Brown her time to react. Shame.. But I suppose it's what I should have expected.. It's hard to break tradition.

Money making tactic that puts even the crudest of films to shame
claytonchalmers24 July 2014
Having seen the film I have to say it was a bitter disappointment that discredited its TV counterpart. The structure of the movie was flawed with several holes in the plot. O'Caroll brought jokes that lacked any humour and thus failed to bring the laughs.

I don't consider myself a fan of Mrs Brown's Boys per se but it's tongue in cheek gags have brought an occasional wry smile. The film version though is a transparently desperate attempt to keep the dying series afloat. It's jokes are outright bold but nevertheless some of the crudest ever put to the screen.

To summarize Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie is little more than an exploitive gimmick made to milk the franchise for everything its got which isn't much.

Don't Be Fooled By The Trailer!
handsomepig30 October 2014
I have enjoyed the TV Show & live DVD's so I am not reviewing this as a hater of the Mrs. Brown's Boys Franchise. I didn't see it in the cinema but just bought the DVD to satisfy my curiosity. What I witnessed was one of the worse attempts at a movie I have ever seen. It is unfunny & an attempt at a plot to carry this for an hour and a half is invisible. Even the reusing of old jokes which has been Brendan O'Carrolls trademark for years couldn't lift this off the bottom of the septic tank it sits in. Brendan himself is very sharp & very funny as a comedian & in a live situation is hilarious. But he obviously wrote down all the jokes he heard in school & dusts them off oh too often. Only his sister Eilish who plays Winnie can claim she put in a decent shift in this. Delivery of the weak punchlines was slow & poor throughout & mistaking a Pakistani man for a Jamaican might be slightly funny the first time. Blind Ninjas & O'Carrolls attempt at what I assume was a Chinese man were embarrassing. We pretended to be Chinamen in school Brendan... snap out of it! Brendan O'Carroll has taken this recycling thing too far & whoever said in the trailer that 'it's the funniest film this year' was either well paid or has only seen one film this year! Avoid the movie but watch the live show.

Poor script - just not funny
derekpearce332 July 2014
If you are, like me, a great fan of the TV series, I would advise giving this movie a wide berth. Any funny gags are predictable and very few and far between. Some of the plot lines are poor to the point of embarrassment. This has proved, once again, that British comedy rarely transfers well to the big screen. The opening song and dance routine and the closing, vomit inducing, court room speech are just not what Mrs Brown's Boys is about. The scenes involving the blind ninjas are extremely clumsily directed and executed and O'Carroll's caricature of the leader of the ninjas is, to be quite honest, nothing short of crude and offensive. I hope they abandon any attempts to make further movies and try to resurrect the hilarious TV series in its true form before a live audience.

Not sure what they were thinking.
13Funbags3 May 2017
If you have only seen the second version of the show, this movie is a bit confusing. For some reason they decided to go with things from the first series like Agnes having six kids and owning a vegetable stand. They also say that ninjas are from China and I'm pretty sure they weren't joking. The entire plot is non-sense.There's a scene where she eats breakfast at a diner. No matter which version of the show you go with, Agnes Brown would never go out for breakfast. The only good change is that Grandad has a much bigger part.He has more lines in this movie than he did in the entire series and he's really funny. For some reason they decided to use the fake bloopers in the movie which just doesn't make any sense, but it makes more sense than having Agnes push a pram around. The best part was seeing Brendan O'Carroll do a different character even though that character just sounded like Agnes with a lisp.Changing the subtitles to Russian when the Russians started speaking English was funny but this movie put too much emphasis on the serious stuff. While it's not a complete disappointment, it is more proof that TV shows should not be made into movies.

Funny Film!
vengeance2028 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Saw this back in 2014 when it was first released & thought it was a funny film.

The film follows Agnes Brown & her family/friends in a race against time to save their market from being bankrupt by a higher company putting smaller shops & markets out of business.

I found the film to be funny, I mean, alright, it's not hysterically funny & the film itself isn't amazing, but it's pretty good for what it is given it's derived from the smash-hit TV Show of the same name.

The jokes are good as with the scenarios & deliberate film mistakes being shown in the film, all the traits you'll seen in the TV Show.

The pacing & runtime are good too at 91 minutes. The story while not the greatest & somewhat a little on the uninspired side of things is good enough & the cast from the TV Show are all here & do what they do best.

Overall, while it's not as good as the TV Show, it's still a pretty good film & is not nearly as bad as what people make out.

7/10.

Wasn't that impressed! 2/10
leonblackwood15 November 2014
Review: I know that I'll be the only person saying this, but I didn't really find this movie that funny. I found the jokes quite silly and the storyline wasn't that great. I must admit, it's the only movie that I have seen that keeps a couple of the bloopers in the final cut, which were the funniest scenes, but I failed to get the humour. The courtroom scenes were ridiculous, until the lawyer gets turrets, but apart from that, there wasn't anything that amazing happening. If your fans of the show, you will enjoy this film, but I haven't seen the series before so I wasn't that impressed. Disappointing!

Round-Up: Right from the beginning, when I saw the dancing scenes, I was a bit dubious about this film. The jokes come thick and fast, but you have to be into this type of humour to find it funny. When the Russian gangsters get introduced, it just goes from bad to worse, but judging by the movies takings, I must be the only person that didn't think that this film wasn't that great. On the plus side, it does put some parts of Dublin on the map and I'm sure that Moore Street market will get a lot of tourists. Personally, I was more interested in the outtakes than the movie itself.

Budget: $3.6million Worldwide Gross: $29million

I recommend this movie to people who are into there Irish comedies about Mrs. Brown who is pressured by Russian gangsters to sell her stall so the developers can claim the land. 2/10

If you are a fan of the TV series then this is everything you could ever want Warning: Spoilers
I would like to start by saying that I purposely didn't read many previews or reviews of the film before I went to see it as I think Mrs Brown's boys divides opinion like no other comedy creation that has gone before it. Its one of those things where you can either buy into world that Brendan has created and crave every minute, or detest it like some nothing you have ever hated in your life. There is no sitting on the fence and therefore I figured that anyone's enjoyment of the film would be based on how much you love the Show.

I firmly sit into the Camp of a Fan. I love the way Adult Comedy, Corny Dialog, Heart Warming moments, and Classic Slapstick humor are blended together like nothing I have seen.

OK, onto the film. Without giving too much away, the main plot revolves around a Russian Business man trying to close down Moore Street Market in Dublin to build a Shopping Centre. They recruit the help of a corrupt local MP who tries to get Agnus to sell her stall by finding an old Tax bill that had not been paid which now amounts to about 4 Million Euros. Of Course Agnus doesn't go down without a fight and in the end wins the day. That's pretty much it. However, what is remarkable is that this story is presented while retaining all the charm of the TV Series. There are outtakes, Talking directly to Camera, Views of the back Stage crew and Agnus reminds you at all times that this is a Movie and nothing more. But it works and it works to an incredible degree.

On top of this there are some genuinely hilarious slap stick action sequences (most of them involving Buster and his team of Blind Ninjas) that could not be done within the confines of the TV show. The end credits also contain some outtakes that did not make it into the final movie.

So, in summary. If you hate everything there is about Mrs Browns Boys or are one of the few people who have never heard of it then please steer clear as you will not get it and this is certainly not going to change your mind. If like me you are along time Fan then please do not read any reviews and go an d see it immediately as I promise you it is everything you could have ever wished for in a Mrs Browns Boys movie.

The flaws are pretty obvious from the off, but okay if you fancy a chuckle or two
STAR RATING: ***** Saturday Night **** Friday Night *** Friday Morning ** Sunday Night * Monday Morning

The sort of inevitable film adaptation of the popular Mrs Brown's Boys series, focusing on her running her fruit stall, carrying on the family tradition. But a ruthless property developer now wants her stall, or, rather the area it's on, for his own use, and is prepared to send his goons to get it. Worse, Mrs Brown now seems to owe a massive tax bill on an unpaid debt from many years ago, even though she's convinced she paid it. It all leads to an audacious break in to the tax office, whilst battling the thugs sent to take her from her stall.

Everyone seems convinced the 'golden age' of British TV comedy is over, and that everything worthwhile was done in the 70s and such, but over the past decade or two, there's clearly been some definitively cult offerings, in terms of TV franchises, that have come by in that time frame. One such example would be Mrs Brown's Boys, which has brought Irish humour to the forefront. The Irish are renowned for having the ability to laugh and poke fun at each other like no-one else, and so they are ideally placed to create something so this way inclined, and Brendan O' Carroll and his (mostly family) cast and crew have certainly done this. Though I can think of other more modern stuff I prefer, that's not to say I don't think there are some bright sparks of humour in the series here and there. And, to be honest, it's much the same case with the film.

The big problem is, of course, taking something so successful on the small screen and transferring it to the big one. This is so much tougher with comedy, which relies on how far you can stretch a joke, or the premise of a joke, out, and if you stretch it too far, watching the material fall flat and the gags get more laboured and desperate. It's undeniable that the plot doesn't really have the gravitas to stretch even to an hour and a half, really, and it will definitely have your attention wondering long before the end, but it's the odd laugh you get here and there that really lifts it out of it's rut, and actually makes it worthwhile.

Obviously not a comedy great, and it won't hurt if you watch something else instead. But it serves it's purpose, and that'll do. ***

Save your money as almost as bad as the Keith Lemon movie!
TheRealWadeWilson27 June 2014
Just returned from the cinema after watching what is probably the worst film I am going to see all year!!!!

The showing was a "success" with no more than 20 people actually in the cinema to watch Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie!

As a big fan of Brendan O'Carroll and the TV show, I was hoping that I would at least laugh a few times during the film, but I have to admit I barely cracked a smile! There are more jokes during a 30 minute TV show than throughout the 94 minutes that the film runs for!

As what seems to be the norm nowadays, the trailer has all the slightly funny parts of the film in it. The only difference was that the word "feck" was actually used correctly in the film with the E replaced with a U.

I wish I could have got a refund as I am not going to get the 94 minutes back.

Do yourself a favour and keep your money in your pocket as no doubt this will be shown as a Christmas Special sometime soon to save the BBC some money!

What a big disappointment!
anne-ranker30 June 2014
Four of us went along to see the film on the first day it was released and we were really excited as we all love the TV series. However, the whole thing was a big disappointment - we barely laughed. The plot was really stupid and we missed the interaction between Mrs B and her family in her own home - that is what we felt was the best part of the TV programmes. For us there was too much emphasis on the bizarre plot line which was just not funny. We enjoyed watching Robert Bathurst play the part of the barrister with Tourettes - he was really funny. Some of the scenes were just embarrassing, such as the final scenes in the courtroom. We think Mrs B should stick to the TV series which is what she does best!!!
