The episode was great, we actually saw a different side to the characters we haven't really seen, and everyone had a chance to shine and make you laugh. There is also a unique message in this episode that's pushed a little but I'll explain the story. Sam and Cat discover their favorite drink is getting taken away as it's now been banned from California. So in response, Sam tries to recreate the recipe for the Blue Dog Soda. In the scene where they discover her plan, it's so funny hearing Cat and Goomer be almost the opposite of themselves. A minute or two, they were their not-so-intelligent selves, which was also funny, given what happens. So Cat decides to help with making the recipe and she needs time to get it right. When Sam discovers that Goomer destroyed the last bottle of the soda that was left, I figured she'd be attacking Goomer for this, and the next thing you know she ends up revealing a clever idea instead of just going nuts on him: using sponges to absorb the soda so she, Dice and Goomer can all drink it. It was funny and a surprise from Sam's character and a clever idea. So Sam gets the idea to start selling the soda as a response to it getting banned. Soon, the same person they met who they discovered from was taking away all the Blue Dog Soda is now looking for the people selling it, not knowing it is them. Near the end of the first scene, this man saw their poster and wanted to leave their kid with them and now he's doing so while he finds the people selling the soda. At first though, they think he's found out their plan and it's so funny seeing Cat so freaked out, not something you see every day. You also get to see Sam spend some time with the kid they babysit and it's just her by herself. Normally Cat is the one getting involved and spending time with the kids or sometimes they all go somewhere together and that's when Sam is shown to be a lot of help with babysitting. Though we do see in #PeezyB that without Sam, babysitting can be difficult for Cat. It was just nice seeing this side of Sam, just interacting with a kid they're babysitting while in Cat's place. Meanwhile Cat, Dice and Goomer are trying to put an end to making the soda but trying to make themselves enough soda that'll last them a few years (the reason being that possible is that they only have one or two bottles a day, and the man banning the soda is doing it because some people can't control themselves, so, as the characters have said, he's taking it away from everyone else that enjoys it and isn't getting too wrapped up in it, which is why they're taking a stand against him). The man comes back and he discovers through an explosion that Sam, Cat, Goomer and Dice are the ones who are making the soda. But all four go into a speech about how they never would've done it if he hadn't decided to ban it, and try to show him that you shouldn't take something away and ruin it for everyone just because a few people go too crazy with it and have no self-control. This can apply to a lot of things. Not just sodas or snacks deemed too unhealthy (I have a similar experience to theirs but with a snack being banned where I live), but even forms of entertainment. And I love this message. I don't watch sitcoms in the hope that every episode becomes a psa, since those should be taught by parents and teachers, but I love the social commentary this and #BrainCrush have. Just because some people have no self-control over a drink or a snack or with a movie or a show or anything, doesn't mean it should be banned to so nobody else that's more in control can't enjoy it. It's without a doubt one of my favorite episodes for being able to say something that's been on my mind lately. In the end, the man sees he's doing wrong and bonds with his child during defeat (earlier he said he didn't like him) and the gang drink to Blue Dog Soda.
As I said during this review, I loved the little message towards the end, I loved that everyone always had an equal chance to shine and be more funny, I loved seeing the different sides to the characters, it was just a really good episode. It's worth the watch. This second half of the show Sam & Cat has been without a doubt full of greatness and I'm loving every episode.
