Spoilers because I don't want you to waste your time

Warning: Spoilers
What started out as an intriguing movie the last 20 minutes was pure stupidity. The movie starts out with the two parents being the villains but it winds up that Carmen and her husband are moneygrubbing opportunists who will not donate a kidney unless they get paid. Oh please I started, realizing that it was so stupid that I started fast forwarding. The ending is absurd. You dedicate two hours of your life to watching a movie and they don't tell you which of the mothers died. It's a waste, and a waste of Dina Meyer and Tony Dennison. The audience deserves so much better than this film shame on the writers. They could've done so much more with sewing treat.

What a complete waste of time

I typically love these z-list movies with actors I don't know. As far as this movie, I think the acting was pretty up to par for a z-list and the story line was pretty good as well. However, the script was ridiculous and I felt this movie was truly a waste of time.

I feel the main actors did best with their characters based on the script given, but just dumb movie all around. Why not tell us which mom lived in the end. They tried to be clever with the ending but it was really dumb and again a waste. Obviously they wanted to leave us guessing but I believe their plan was to leave us pissed. Don't believe the hyped up reviews. If you're anything like me, you'd hate this one. Serious eye rolling throughout the entire movie. They could have done so much with it but ending took a stupid turn. They could have made Maggie/Claridads father be the rich family's goon or something and that would have given even better reason for Mexican mom to flip. Idk just dumb.

Brilliant!!

Considering it has very little about this film as in no trivia or other reviews, I found it to be an outstanding film. How a woman copes with having her child stolen and sold to a rich family. The build up to the end is extraordinarily tense and it's nice to see the rich get their comeuppance.

Twisted Ending

My review is a spoiler

********* Love Dina Meyer and would watch anything she is in. She did not disappoint. You think the movie is a run of the mill tear jerker until the very end when the birth mother asks the adoptive mother to play russian roulette with the same odds that the birth mother has at living after donating her kidney to the dying daughter. Before all of this the writer conveniently slips in a scene where the daughter asks if it would be all right to call both of her mothers 'Mom'.

Cut away to the last scene where the daughter is seated at the head of the table with all her brothers from both sides of the family and her birth mother's husband. She makes a toast to the departed 'she' and looks to the chair which you cannot see who is in the chair and calls that person, 'Mom'. Conspicuously absent is the adoptive father. Also, once the birth mother hands the gun to the adoptive mother the scene cuts to the hallway outside the room where they are located and you hear a gun go off. If the trigger was pulled and the first barrel was without a bullet you wouldn't have heard a noise only a click.

Very cleverly written and nice acting. Only wish that the older Omar was as handsome as the younger one.
