The American Threshermen are a piece of American history. The society was formed to preserve some of the agricultural heritage of American farming. Several of the tractors and farm machinery (including a turn-of-century cider press) are displayed every year at the Pickneyville, Illinois show where this short film was shot. Several 'visiting' tractors that are early 20th century or older are also brought along for exhibit. During the show, the tractors, huskers, combined harvesters are actually operated for the public to view.
