Being able to forgive, move on, and at the same time allow yourself to breakdown, is the focus.

Warning: Spoilers
With the return of Liam, as well as Ana inching her way into becoming a reoccurring role, most of the episode seemed to be about reflecting on the past as baby steps are made toward the future. For with Ana wanting to get back in her kids' lives, there is the question if they may let her? Also, in terms of Liam, and even Dani, with how much damage they have caused there is the question of how can the victims move past, for a lack of a better term, what was done?

Topic 1: Rocky Relationship – Jesus & Brandon (Featuring Hayley and Lou)

Jesus and Hayley are having tough times in their relationship partly because Jesus seems to be a really lazy boyfriend when it comes to planning dates, and also Hayley not getting to know Jesus better before dating, much less hooking up. Either way, between Jesus trying to have their first date in the garage when they first hooked up or piggybacking off of Brandon's would-be date with Lou, Hayley is not impressed. In fact, she is quite upset and feels like all Jesus wants is her body. So, he decides to dedicate part of his body to her with a tattoo.

As for Brandon, with him still feeling guilty about Dani, and maybe a little bit scarred, it is keeping him from really enjoying Lou who comes out and says she likes him. But he is just not in a place right now where he can date. Something which is kind of sad to me since I like them as a couple, but with him not ready to be intimate, in any sort of way with someone, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed for their future.

Topic 2: Sometimes You Have To Fall Apart – Stef & Callie (Featuring Wyatt)

With everyone at this Mexican fiesta honoring Saint Cecilia, Stef is at home and unfortunately with her having the day off means her trying to figure out something to do. So she decides to fix a leaky faucet, which she ends up making worse. Leading to her having a bit of a breakdown. Not necessarily due to the faucet, but because she couldn't help Lena when it came to the baby and, with no one around, she is given the moment she needs to let it all out. For, as mentioned a few episodes back, Stef puts up this front of being strong and tries to be everyone's rock. However, being that she isn't superwoman, when she can't be the fixer she wants to be, she suppresses her disappointment and, if you really focus on her during those moments, you can see her not only suppress her feelings, but also see how tightly she is trying to control her emotions so no one can see her cry.

And in the episode she realizes Callie is like her. She will, to the best of her abilities, suppress her emotions to try to make it seem everything is OK when it isn't. And while she has thus far only been Jude's rock, she also takes up the task of trying to defend and help people even when she doesn't have much in the way of resources to. Something which is increasingly becoming a problem as her life has become hectic due to Robert coming back in her life, as well as seeing Liam, and trying to be intimate with Wyatt, triggering this distrust within herself. Something which leads her going back to therapy since, she wants to understand her issues with being intimate with Wyatt. The answer: She needs to learn to trust Wyatt, as well as her instincts when it comes to trusting others.

Unfortunately for Wyatt though, and Brandon in extension, a test of this trust is presented when Liam shows up to the fiesta. Both boys decide to go after him, to protect Callie, and in the process they just end up upsetting her. And while Brandon got away with what he did, Wyatt suffers a bit for it. Though there remains hope their relationship can recover.

Topic 3: I'm Changing – Mariana (Featuring Ana & Mike)

With Mariana and Matt going on a date, finally, Mariana is worried because Matt is inquisitive and kind of intimidating. Something we sort of see as they go to the Mexican fiesta in which being amongst Mexican culture triggers Mariana. For, after all, while Mexican herself Ana didn't bestow what it meant to be Mexican, and thinking about the type of mom Ana was puts Mariana on edge. Though with Matt seeing quinceañera pictures online, he makes the type of assumptions which pushes Mariana to be very defensive. Though things really get bad when Mariana sees Mike and Ana.

Those two, from what it seems, are still platonic, but with Dani having moved out it seems Ana moved in. And while they are trying to keep each other sober, them going to the fiesta together leads to me side eying them being sober buddies since that is the way Dani and Mike hooked up. But, going back to Mariana, with Stef and Lena wanting to deny Ana access, Mike sort of pushes Mariana to listen to her mom wanting to apologize properly and this really sets Mariana off. But with Matt mentioning how he wished his dad would one day apologize to him, it leads Mariana to wanting to give Ana another chance.

Leaving us to wonder if Ana, like Callie's dad, may pursue getting her kids back? It's unlikely, but with what Lena said about her not being the kids biological mom could possibly have been foreshadowing toward Jesus, and maybe even Mariana, saying that when it comes to them wanting to see Ana. Either way, it is nice Mariana finally has some type of decent storyline going for herself.
