Beach Club

Jeremy and Judith are busy relaxing and luxuriating at an exclusive spa resort, they learn that Antoine Lefevre, a company CEO of a large business is missing. The pair go in search of Lefevre out on the water and find his body. Patrick discovers a scam with the local wine supplier.

Lovely to have the show back on the box, and it's a fun return. I liked the intrigue of it, the coins, the case of hit and run, and of course the chauffeur, it's light hearted fluff.

The side story of the wine was fun, it gave Patrick something to do, Tony Robinson hasn't really been put through his paces on the show. It's very true though, a lot of French people think Brits have zero taste when it comes to wine ..'most of them wouldn't know Bordeaux from a claret'...B Fawlty.

As a mystery, it's woeful, there wasn't one to speak of, but the character play was very good and I loved the wine story.

When Caron was interviewing, did anyone else see ABBA?

It certainly is a disturbing opening. Jeremy and Judith are in a spa resort. They go out on a boat and find a man in a dingy with two rare coins placed over his eyes.

He is barely alive and there is a doctor at the resort who takes him in an ambulance to a private hospital.

The man turns out to be Antoine Lefevre, a company executive staying at the spa resort who was regarded as being missing.

Inspector Caron asks Jean for help to trace the identity of the coins. They are valuable and thought to be stolen.

Inspector Caron and Jean investigate the significance about the coins being placed on the eyes. Maybe someone had some sort of a grudge against Lefevre.

The problem with the Madame Blanc Mysteries, they are shoddily written.

So Inspector Caron never went to the hospital to see the dead man's body or get an autopsy done.
