Aunt Fifi is the cleaner in Charlie and Simone's shop.

While cleaning the toilets and with Charlie and Simone away from the shop early.

Someone enters the shop, substitutes the toilet cleaning bottle and locks Aunt Fifi in the shop.

She dies by the toxic fumes of the toilet cleaning products which created in effect, mustard gas.

After her death. Inspector Caron and Jean visit Aunt Fifi's house. She had a lodger and Jean notices that Aunt Fifi had valuable antiques. Maybe that was the motive?

She was also estranged from her half sister, both had not spoken to each other for some years.

This is one of these stories where there is no mystery because of the paucity of potential suspects. It was obvious who the killer was.

As for the half sister and her dimwitted husband. I was surprised he admitted to pension fraud so easily so he could not be the murder suspect. Then was shocked that he would be charged for fraud and assault.

This episode needed a wider cast list.

Charlie's Aunt Fifi is killed as Charlie and Simone enjoy the cinema, Charlie is shocked when she discovers her aunt has left her all of her substantial wealth. Gloria is injured in the pub when Judith leaves a mop in a dubious place, the pair offer to look after Douglas to attone.

This was better than last week's episode, an altogether more serious and engaging affair. The death scene itself was actually quite bleak, a little more Midsomer Murders perhaps.

Definitely a little bit of excitement here, with a suspenseful ending.

Plenty of light hearted moments, Douglas going AWOL twice was funny.

I'm still baffled as to how Charlie Condou, who played Pierre can be in his 50's, he's ageing very well.

Entertaining.
