Hôzuki no Reitetsu is an incredibly hilarious show. The art style is unique and the characters are always spot-on. The story is essentially a sitcom, where each episode is broken into two mini-episodes and the runtime for each episode is 23 minutes- which is great if you want to binge an entire season. You do however, have to be familiar with Japanese pop culture for some of the jokes to make sense. Other than that, this anime is definitely worth watching.

Great Show, can't wait to also read the manga

I loved this show about the bureaucracy of Hell. The title translates to "Coolheaded Hozuki" and Hozuki, the main character, is exactly how I'd imagine Sebastian from "Black Butler" to act when he's a demon in hell. The show goes into Shinto and Buddhist beliefs, has some Japanese folk tales, and just some really funny moments.

Only two things I'd fix - sometimes they talk really fast and the subtitles can't keep up, so you end up missing some details like signs or explanations that are translated off to the side. The second thing... It's way too short! I want more episodes! Since it's so new, I don't know if they plan on making more seasons, but I hope they do! The theme song is so.damn.catchy.

Didn't find it funny nor entertaining

I honestly thought the jokes in this anime were too blunt. This is not because I don't get humour but rather the humour was just boring for me this time. Even the characters and storyline were confusing, I found there wasn't much in depth of character or storyline development.

Just didn't like this anime, full stop...

Not my cup of tea

Its a big turn off for from the very first episode, cant seem to deserve any chances to keep continue watching. Dont get me wrong, i love this world building aspect of this anime just from the first episode but i know how it will progress. Just not vibing with this sense of humor, maybe due to the characters design or the voice casts. Big fan of comedy anime such as doraemon shin chan, atashinchi, keroro, chibi maruko, squid girl, space baby, etc.... this anime on the other hand doesnt clicks with me. Maybe the storyline not relatable or just the comedic approach doesnt go well with this world building. Just idk.... great animation but not my cup of tea. So i gave it a neutral 5 stars rating since i cant go on and decide.
