Look I wish I didn't have to say this but Lisa episodes have never worked they're not funny they're boring I just cannot tolerate them I tried to sit through this I just can't it was so boring stop doing Lisa episodes the only thing worse than Lisa episodes is a Marge episode.......... I keep holding out hope that the Simpsons will get better but it just seems to get worse that's the disappointing part every now and then there is one or two good episodes a season but for the most part they really do suck and this does not help it I just found nothing of it to be interesting.. there was no interesting part of the episode.
While The Simpsons may never return to the glory days when Conan O'Brien produced them, this episode captures a lot of the magic from days right after Conan's departure.
There are high-brow guest appearances and references, witty socio-political commentary and riffs on Simpsons canon. There is also a convoluted plot that hearkens back to those early days.
What every detractor seems to forget (or never knew in the first place) is that The Simpsons blazed the trail for much of today's animated comedy. If the new breed of shows lasts 37 years and maintains one iota of the enduring legacy of The Simpsons, I will take back my words.

The Simpson used to be charming and funny... now I watch it and miss the old episodes that had more heart and weren't so snobby. I wonder if they even use the same writers anymore because the new episodes are so different from the original episodes you wouldn't even recognize you were watching The Simpsons if you hid the characters and visual style. This show wouldn't have gotten nearly as far if this is what they had started out with... I miss the simple, sweet warmth of The Simpsons. Whenever a show revolves around Lisa I prepare for it to be pretentious and devoid of humor. I understand things grow and change with the times but there's something special they've lost while doing so... hopefully next weeks episode won't be like this one.
