For each episode, the chalkboard in Eddie's has a different message; Ryan Metcalfe asks a different cast member for a Quote of the Day; and a different food is on special-offer.
Ryan Metcalfe created the original concept, Life As an Ordinary Guy, in 2004, and cast Thomas Gumede in his film-school version of the show. His teachers rejected the idea, so Metcalfe and Gumede decided to take the show themselves and develop it for TV. SABC1 picked it up 10 years later.
