Due to a lack of budget, all the film equipment used was loaned by the local Doncaster College in exchange for allowing some of it's film students to work on the film.
Most of the crew were unpaid, and as a result were offered free accommodation for the two week duration of the shoot in the local High Melton University campus, where some of the scenes were shot.
The main library in the film is actually the school library of the Hall Cross Academy. The library building is the oldest building on the Town Centre site, and it was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1869.
