This movie had potential that was utterly squandered. The sound quality was poor, there were places where the dialogue and picture seemed ever so slightly out of sync, and they didn't use the sets to their full potential. Story lines are established and then largely dropped, the acting is spotty in places, and one of the props is simply ludicrous. I'm not going to give spoilers, so I won't go into detail. If you want something atmospheric, watch The Awakening or something similar. This one just doesn't deliver. It fails to follow through on developing characters, history, locations, plot points. You name it, it winds up dropped.

Giving this epic waste of time and money even 1 star is extremely gracious. There is no suspense, no plot, horrible characterization, pathetic dialogue, and appalling acting. Did I mention no plot? I have a high threshold for B horror movies if I didn't pay for the rental I wouldn't have lasted more than 15 minutes. The effects are no more than playing with camera filters and mediocre attempts at "creepy children's voices". Add a n a few slamming doors and some banging sounds and you have all the horror this movie intentionally provides. The real horror is realizing you've wasted over an hour of your life. save yourself. Watch paint dry instead
