Only one reason to watch this movie.
orangehenryviii29 April 2014
Jailbait: The harrowing true story of how beautiful Thai model Sara Malakui Lane became contractually obligated to make movies for The Asylum production company. You know The Asylum, they are the people who make those straight-to-DVD movies that sound like other blockbuster movies, e.g. Battle of Los Angeles, Apocalypse Pompeii, Jack the Giant Killer, you know...the worst movies ever made. Well here is another one, and it is dreadful but you are still going to watch it for the same reason I did, because Sara Malakui Lane is fine as hell and she takes her shirt off more times than Matthew McConaughey on a hot day in Austin. There simply is no other reason to watch this movie folks, unless you enjoy spending an hour and a half watching a movie so bad it looks like their entire technical crew was picked up daily from the parking lot of a Home Depot, and half the cast to boot.

HIlariously bad-excellent nudity though
mheminger1 December 2014
I am not sure this movie was meant to be funny but it certainly was amusing. Here is what it had going for it. The frequent appearance of Anna's exceptionally and obviously enhanced (You could see scars beneath each breast and in the armpit) boobs were a BIG PLUS (pun intended).

The dialogue was horrible and the violence was more cartoonish then troubling or excessive.

The acting was marginal, I'd really give this a lower score but let's face it-Anna is a knockout so I shouldn't be too hard on this movie.

The funniest thing of all, when you watch the scene where she gets her letter from the parole board you will find that these incredible cheap movie makers only typed the first couple sentences and the rest of the letter (pause the movie if you do not believe me it is HILARIOUS), is actually a scene from another movie or a script or story. It talks about an elevator clanking to a ominous halt and Jane gripping the rails and praying...ON THE PAROLE LETTER! I mean talk about wristwatches in Spartacus, why would you do something so stupid in a movie. Did it cost to much to use a blank paper when they typed the Parole Board paragraph?

Not really realistic in any sense...
paul_haakonsen7 March 2014
While "Jailbait" tries to accomplish a lot of things with its fairly stereotypical and way too unrealistic storyline, then director Jared Cohn fails to make a lasting impact with this movie.

The story in "Jailbait" is about Anna (played by Sara Malakul Lane) who is sexually molested by her step dad and accidentally kills him. Going to a juvenile rehabilitation center, Anna ends up learning how life inside the prison walls can be with all its hardships, alliances and abuse.

From an entertaining point of view then "Jailbait" was actually a good enough movie to watch because it wasn't boring and it kept on a brisk pace. However, if you put on a set of realism goggles, then everything in this movie just falls to the ground fast and shatters into a million pieces. Nothing about the things happening inside the juvenile rehabilitation facility is really realistic, and things are portrayed fleetingly and just allows the audience a brief look at the surface of things.

What kept the movie afloat the pace of the storyline and the fairly good acting performances put on by just about everyone in the movie.

But all in all then "Jailbait" is good enough entertainment and scores a solid 5 out of 10 stars from me.

Like Very Bad Lesbian Porn
Theo Robertson6 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
A teenage cello player called Anna fights off the sexual advances of her drunken step father and accidentally kills him . She is found guilty of manslaughter and is sentenced to several years in a maximum security juvenile detention centre

"Hold on Theo surely that's self defence and if it was self defence she wouldn't be guilty of anything ?"

Yes but that would be realistic and would mean there wouldn't be a film and after seeing JAILBAIT that wouldn't have been much of a loss either

!!!!! SUGGESTIVE SPOILER !!!!!!

You can imagine the producer getting the screenwriter in to the office at first draft stage and shouting at him "What's going on here ? You've written five pages and so far there hasn't been a lesbian sex session .I don't want to read a screenplay that goes five pages without lesbian sex . Got it ?"

And so we do get it . American maximum security juvenile detention centres for young women are hotbeds of lesbian sex . Now to be fair myself and 3.5 billion men would if they're honest admit to liking lesbian sex but not to the point where a film merely exists to indulge male fantasy . We know where to find it on the internet and our primary reason for watching a film in the off chance a couple of hot chicks showing their affection for one another in the most physical way possible isn't really why most of us watch films . Especially if it's presented in such a crass , cynical and banal way as presented here where Anna arrives I prison and within hours her cellmate is masturbating to her while she sleeps . The story and scenario is every bit as fake and plastic as Anna's silicone boobs . There's no character development and no credibility to any of this and the only remit the production team have is to include as much nudity and lesbian sex as possible regardless of how much sense it makes and how it fits in to the confused narrative

You can work out the ending as soon as someone mentions they've got an I-phone and this will come back to haunt the prison warder who apart from looking like a cross between an aging Tom Berenger and Dubya Bush is also an obscene sexual predator who also uses Anna as his sex toy . Suddenly lesbian sex - even to the most innocent hetrosexual girl - might have its appeal after all

A Tale of Boobs Behind Bars
jimsnider-8919222 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The main character, Sara Malakul Lane's ample breasts, delivers a riveting performance in this gritty documentary of what life behind bars is like for beautiful boobs that are wrongfully convicted. Coupled with a cast of lesser, but still talented T&A, the star really shines putting their assets on full display.

The struggles at home begin early for the breasts, who just want to be left alone to play the Chello, but after they're assaulted by a family member, their body accidentally kills him and our humongous heroines are shipped off to a correctional facility.

It's here that they learn right away the horrors of icy cold showers, first with fire hoses and then with industrial fixtures incapable of providing the gentle deluge of soapy warm water such breasts deserve. The abuse quickly turns our normally perky star into a hardened offender capable of poking out eyes and leaving eraser like burns behind the ears of anyone that tries to love them.

Soon our star meets a bad girl gang leader who tells them a lot of people inside are looking at them. Soon after our star is beaten for disrespecting the gang leader and taken to the Warden's office where they learn he too has noticed them and wishes to partake of their company.

Unfortunately, other inmates won't leave them alone and this leads them down a slippery slope. Often they're left vulnerable and completely exposed in a cold concrete isolation cell.

In a quintessential "good boobs gone bad" story, our man-made beauties turn to drugs and the comfort of many lovers which nearly costs them everything. However, they dig deep and remain buoyant in a sea if danger to come out on top, realizing their dream of making beautiful music.

Just awful
ian-j-williams753 June 2014
I watched this after watching 'Orange is not the only black', which was very enjoyable. This was not. It's not a comedy like 'Orange' largely is – but nor is it a serious film about what life is really like inside a woman's prison. If you're looking for something deep and soul searching then look elsewhere – but if you're looking for cheap thrills then this is, however, probably exactly what you're looking for. It's basically a violent soft core porn movie. The acting is AWFUL – not a single actor was in anyway credible and the fight sequences were some of the worst ever committed to celluloid. In short, if you're looking for an exploitative sex film and are prepared to put up with the most wooden acting you've ever seen then you'll have a blast.

I don't even know what to say.
connielevitsky2 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
If you are triggered by sexual abuse, incest, drug use, mental illness, then do not watch this movie.

I'm not impressed that sexual assault seems to be the driving force behind this film. It was extremely graphic, and at some points, highly unnecessary.

The storyline was all over the place, and so was Anna's character - one minute she's shy and reclusive, the next she's addicted to crack and attacking guards, and one day she's having sex with her roommate and the next she's banging the gang leader? The continuity was pretty poor.

This movie was clearly low-budget and I don't even know why I wasted an hour of my life that I'm never going to get back.

If prison girls groping each other is your thing....
karmaswimswami5 May 2014
A film so exceptionally asinine as to have no redeeming attributes at all. This is a story whose main characters are the lead actress's breasts with implants, which appear in most scenes. Rabid prison girls in heat...that's the gist of the story, but this achieves nothing credit-worthy in the way "Caged Heat" once did. The plot is insulting, the script a joke, the character motivations implausible, and no scene does not insult the viewer. It's quite difficult to imagine any viewer finishing this nonsensical effort. This is soft-core porn, but even most such films of that genre have something to redeem them. Nothing redeems "Jailbait."

Everyone here is a pervert
nogodnomasters17 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Anna Nix (Sara Malakul Lane) kills her step father in self defense. She is sentenced to be in a nubile prison sexplotation film filled with drugs, shower scenes, a rapist warden, and girl/girl action. Oh yeah, she plays a cello.

The acting was what one would expect from an Asylum film as they used their regular stars. The dialog wasn't great, but if the object is to watch 30 year old Sara Malakul Lane undress looking like 17, then the film achieved its goal. There is no watching the film for any deep underlying message, nor would I call it a film about redemption. It is a prison girl film. Not as great as "Chained Heat" but meets the requirements.

Perv guide: F-bombs, sex, rape, girl/girl full frontal nudity (Sara Malakul Lane, Erin O'Brien, Jennifer Robyn Jacobs + others)

Juvenile prison?

They could've at least tried to cast young looking adults to play teens. All these "juveniles" look like middle-aged women. But....gotta love all the boobies though :D.

An Honest Review
generationofswine27 September 2018
Only 31 reviews for a movie that has been out on Netflix for 4 straight years...yeah, people don't want to admit that they watched this.

And I can see why, for starters this is part of the infamous WiP films that had their heyday with Pam Grier in the 1970s...but it doesn't star Pam Grier so you don't really have that..."No but honey, Pam Grier is in it," excuse to be watching it.

And then the title "Jailbait" well its not going to have many reviews with a title like that...but I guarantee you that it's going to have a lot of views on the Netflix.

So anyway, the plot of this movie is to see Sara Malakul Lane naked. The entire point of making this film is to show the viewers full frontal views of Sara Malakul Lane. And the entire reason that people sit down and watch this movie is to see Sara Malakul Lane naked.

So...mission accomplished and in spades.

The dialogue? Who cares. The story? Who cares The production values? Who cares The score? Who cares? The acting? Again, who cares.

None of that has anything to do with the movie. That wasn't the goal the creators had in mind when making this film. And, let's be honest, none of that is the reason why you are going to sit down and watch it.

Really fun women in prison film
linniallenla31 January 2020
Jared Cohn delivers here a great homage to the classic exploitation genre women in prison. With a cast of virtual unknowns lead by the drop dead gorgeous Sara Malakul Lane, we are shown the tale of a young girl wrongfully imprisoned and wronged by life itself. She continues making bad decisions but with choice for in this vicious prison environment the only way to make it through the day is to find a way to survive.

We are given a look, a realistic look, at prison life, but we've seen this before, even on the shows like Locked Up, which was notorious for showing real prison life. The direction is fine, the camerawork and lighting are all good, the music leaves much to be desired, perhaps someone should've chosen a more appropriate score, and there's several continuity editing errors. I have seen some of Jared Cohn's other work, I'm sure this is just from lack of great personnel or a rushed schedule.

I wholeheartedly recommend people watch this. You get a fun-filled non-stop gripping tale of a young girl's survival, and if that's not enough, it's filled with non-stop gratuitous nudity on an epic level.

Easily One of the Worst Films Ever Made
spikeify27 February 2018
This movie seems promising, but it just doesnt deliver. I was hoping for a really intense female prison film; however, the only thing I got was a depressing story and low brow acting. They can't even give the actor the correct sized cello. If you like to see a girl get raped and beat in prison without a compelling story to make up for it, then this is the film for you.

Warning: Spoilers
wow this movie was bad on so many levels.poor acting, poor filming, poor script, poor soundtrack...everything is so lame in this movie. I lost interest in like first 10minutes. Basically this is a movie about a molested girl who kills her stepfather by accident.Of course he is a molester. So the girl is brought to juvenile jail.We are supposed to believe she is a girl of 16 or 17.She looks nothing like that. The girl doesn't look like a teenager at all. At this point forward all you will watch are naked girl (or girls) and beating. Some random jail gangs molest her, then warden the again gangs and warden. And then some more of it,till end. There is nothing interesting in this movie.Avoid it at all costs.

I just lost so many brain cells
mstayresa2 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was just awful. The acting was SO terrible I can't even understand where they found these people or how they thought these people were even okay to be in a film. The nudity was literally so unnecessary. Lesbians EVERYWHERE!!! I feel like this film was made by a horny fifty year old man that was desperate for money. I don't know how I just watched this entire movie... why would Netflix even put such trash on their stream site? I want those 90 minutes back. But before I go, I just have one more thing to share: the back story of Anna, the way they depict prison life in the movie, and all of the drugs randomly appearing was such crap. Please, I'm begging you, do not see this waste of money movie, you WILL regret it.

Worst sexploitation film ever made, and not even ironically good.
face-819-93372629 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Don't watch this movie! Asylum have made bad movies before, but this is bad, and it is wrong. This movie is poorly acted, and very poorly filmed, and anything that you think of as a story is so completely stupid, and childish. There has never been a prison that once you were granted immediate release from; you just take your time packing your (your what? she had nothing)what while wearing your regular cloths with guards, and prisoners both freely walking around you. Just one of the multitude of mashed up crap they try to feed you. I've seen better scenes of a person shooting up by mimes with nothing. I did not Enjoy this movie, I really watched it, and for that I am sad. I do not recommend this movie to anyone of any age, or type. Even the exploitation is all fake, like a bunch of feminists trying to exploit women, it doesn't work.

I don't want to say that I'm a fan of the female prison genre of films but I sure have seen a lot of them. "Jailbait" goes up there with the best of them. It touches all of the bases. The story is well told and it doesn't overstay its welcome. Its cast very appealing, especially a very dreamy Sara Malakul Lane. "Jailbait" delivers the goods.

Not in this world
timdavis-219 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The basic premise of this movie is BS. For one thing she would NEVER have been brought up on charges in the first place. Step father was raping her in HER room. It was obvious from the evidence it was self defense. Plus who would believe her drug addict mother's testimony? Then the sentence her to a maximum security juvenile detention facility? Really? I could go on... but wait I shall. If you are going to cast someone who plays an instrument, make sure they know something about that instrument. Like fingering. Also if you are going to cast someone as a juvenile, make sure they pass muster. 16 year olds do not have boob jobs. Just saying...

Finally a new women-in-prison movie, and it's pretty good
TdSmth55 April 2014
Anna is a nice girl, a good student, plays the cello and is raped regularly by her old stepfather. Her mother pretends nothing is going on. One day when he again tries to rape her she pushes him away into a window, the pieces sever his carotid and he dies.

Anna ends up in jail. Her cellmate is also nice and just keeps to herself reading books but develops a romantic interest in Anna. Anna attempts to mind her own business and not bother anyone which doesn't go well in jail. But she quickly catches the attention of Kody, the leader of one of the inmate groups. But Kody only has relatively good intentions when it comes to Anna. The leader of the rival group also notices Anna but she is only interested in beating her up.

Reluctantly Anna joins Kody's group as refuge. But they can't help her with the warden who seems fairly nice on the surface but quickly takes advantage of her. Kody introduces Anna to drugs but sticks only to smoking. Anna meanwhile keeps getting herself in trouble, rejects the help of Kody, ends up in solitary confinement repeatedly, and starts injecting hard drugs. Things quickly go downhill for Anna. She becomes addicted, ends up in a longer stint in solitary, tries to commit suicide, ends up in the psych ward, the warden continues to abuse her. To help her though he gives her a cello to practice for the talent show. Anna has a parole hearing coming up and the warden promises to put in a good for her if she continues doing him "favors." When the day arrives, of course, he doesn't keep his word which forces Anna to think of another way out.

I'm glad to see The Asylum going beyond wild sci fi movies and copies of Hollywood films and returning to its roots by trying something more original. Jailbait is a sexploitation movie of the women-in-prison variety, the kind no one makes anymore, which is why so many reviewers seem to be surprised. So yes, there's going to be nudity and sex. Imagine, the horror! Not to worry though, for some reason, the girls tend to cover their bodies quite a bit. And as a B- movie there's going to be production and acting issues. It's not like big studios would ever dare make a movie like this. The problems are the usual- weak acting by secondary characters, unpolished story, sound issues, odd sets, etc. A lot here seems episodic and repetitive.

But on to the positives. Sara Malukul Lane is gorgeous and so is Erin O'Brien. Sara's acting is a bit flat though but you do end up caring for her. Steve Hanks on the other hand is a great actor and you like him more than you should. Interesting that they didn't make his character just purely evil but also gave him a benevolent side. The story itself is good but the script needed a bit more work, and the main characters more depth.

I'm giving this movie a high score because it resurrects women-in-prison movies that have all but vanished. Perhaps The Asylum will also dare to make some day a movie of another pretty extinct kind- nunsploitation. Also commendable is the commitment by the actresses to their roles. Some of the stuff they go through couldn't have been easy. If you've never see a movie of this genre, check it out.

A movie plot is written from the writer's imagination, not necessary the fact.
sam_314513 February 2014
In my view this movie portray the dark side of all-girl prison, though the plot was dramatized a bit for entertaining purpose. The lead character, played by Sara Lane, conveys how a timid is bullied in the prison jungle. She successfully portrays how a frightened young prisoner looks like. However, the movie plot was somewhat repetitive. The producer/screen writer should add in more angles of prison hard lives to replace drug abuse scenes.

More roles should have been added to the prison guards in relationship with peers and prisoners, including favoritism and sanction they apply to prison gangs. the theme focused too much on the prison warden.

Stupidest character ever
gadjoproject15 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Anna makes all the wrong decisions motivated by what? Sheer stupidity? Her acting is so bad, it's cringeworthy. The rest of the cast seem to make reasonable decisions considering the circumstances, but Anna does everything against her own self-interest. Not believable and oh so forced. Pretty much a movie showing her fake breasts and showcasing her laughably-written joke of a character.

Not a good movie but has some charm to it.
xxslyassassin18 January 2016
Jailbait is not a good movie but it is entertaining. It is an illogical poorly written mess but it was interesting to see Anna's decline and redemption. What this movie did right was prison life some of it was unrealistic but some of the concepts they showed in this film were spot on another bonus is the sex scenes with Sara Malakul Lane lol what more can you want. I could spend hours talking about how bad this movie was but it was a guilty pleasure with a satisfying ending. So if your're bored and have time to kill then I would suggest Jailbait which is free on hulu and Netflix plus even with it's multiple problems I'm sure you'll find some entertainment in this like I did.
