Fascinating

Amazing insight into the partnership of architects Miles Warren and Maurice Mahoney and the many iconic buildings they designed in Christchurch and beyond. Covers the design and development of the Christchurch Town Hall, an internationally recognised venue, and its reinstatement post the 2011 earthquake - a captivating and moving journey especially for the people of Canterbury who lost so much of their city at that time. Some great archival footage. Highly recommended for people who admire architectural brilliance and for those of us who have had the privilege of attending events in the town hall. A wonderful movie.

Highly Recommended

One of the most heart warming, honest and best made movies I've seen in a long, long time. How can someone have the idea to make a movie about architecture? Well it's Maurice Mahoney's daughter Jane who co-wrote and co-directed the movie. This documentary has a beautiful cinematography, music, sounds effects, cuts and historical content that just make it exciting and a pleasure to watch. It also show a level of true innovation, aspiration and entrepreneurship that often seems to be missing in today's New Zealand. The film makes you excited and emotional not just about a building, but a whole city. All told through a very personal story. Brilliant!
