incoherent mumble jumble!
sobsobsobsobsobsobsobsob10 January 2015
this movie does not have a plot! i mean it literally doesn't exist! don't get me wrong i love fantasy movies or ironclad-like movies but this one is nothing like what you ever watched before! it's pure bullshit and don't even get me started on directing/acting! however if you're super bored and don't have access to any kind of entertainment for sometime you may as well waste your time and money on this one. that's why i gave it 3 instead of one! (but be warned you will end up feeling sick to your stomach!) and by the way this is my first review! i want to go watch hobbit: battle of five armies now but i can't because i can't post this review because no matter what i do it's not gonna be 10 lines because it's such a cheap goddamn movie...

Vapid Italian indie
Leofwine_draca18 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
MORNING STAR WARRIOR is a cheap historical adventure made by an indie team in Italy. It was given a fine looking cover for UK release but anyone interested should check out the 'produced by Uwe Boll' credit and let it serve as a warning. This is terrible stuff indeed; a film featuring a bunch of disappointed actors wandering around a rural landscape and occasionally fighting one another. It's clearly designed in the same style as GAME OF THRONES or VIKINGS, but it has not one ounce of the same style and the story is interminably dull. Amateur hour all round.

Please save your time and not watch this

Warning: Spoilers
I have watched a lot of bad movies in my time, this one is right at the worst of them. This movie makes no sense at all. There are times i think I could see what they were trying to do here, but it falls so short that I can"t quite be sure. The acting was bad enough that you think it almost had to be on purpose, the only person who was believable was Ivy Corbin in her role as the witch. Solid job there Ivy! The action scenes were rough to watch, as I felt like my ten year old could have bested them with his toy sword. Save yourself some time and skip this one. I did think that the main character seeing a modern city at the end was cool, but they just skimmed right over this. A real shame, because that could have added a neat element to the premise!!

I HAVE NOT ALWAYS MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE
nogodnomasters6 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A soldier (Adrian Bouchet) who is the only survivor in a battle vows to return a fallen man to his home. With the help of a witch (Ivy Corbin) the trip turns out to be a confused surreal nightmare.

There are scene where our lead character talks to the dead man as in Woody Allen's "Love and Death" except it wasn't funny. There are dream sequences and battles along the way to an ending that didn't make much sense. It was as if I was watching a bad medieval purgatory version of "The Road."

In the end the sky has a jet stream in it and there is helicopter noise in the background as well as some other modern sounds and I have no idea if they were supposed to be there or not. The film is about choice and free will. You might choose to watch something else.

$9.96 Walmart. My bad.

Guide: sex and nudity (Ivy Corbin).

This movie kept me entertained the whole time

Warning: Spoilers
Wow! Who does this type of stuff? I mean, It's marvelous! The ambiance is just about perfect. Men on the battlefield in the beginning. The movie raises more questions you could ever answer. How neat is that? And I'm NOT jesting.

The woman comes along. "She came to me one morning, one lonely Sunday morning." Uriah Heep. Did I get it correctly. Anywayz. I'm not a moron. Convinced? Actually the movie tells beautifully how war never solves anything and all the participants already know what they should do but are afraid to act.

As I understood the man killed the king. That was neat. Absolutely amazing. There are many things in this movie that raises eyebrows. It's a workout for your face and it has leather and rivets on the gear. What more could you ask. Ambiance. Yes as I mentioned earlier. It is great and I like to watch mysterious people walking into dirty ponds! You've done it. You've exploded the cork off multiple champagne-bottles.

Talk about stuff people.

Many plots. Many morals
pryorla17 April 2019
This is much better than people are crediting it. The cinimarography alone should give it a high rating. The acting was a little thin all around, no one stood out, well maybe the witch, but the screenplay was very light. By this I mean sparse dialogue which gives you room to THINK. The story is not fed to you like pablum. Perhaps I liked it so much because of this. Also. The costuming was excellent and the use of natural lighting really added to the story. Watch this movie with an open mind. Perhaps, when you are in a more introspective mood.

Not sure why people are so confused
sendmemailhereplease28 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
People ask what the movie is about with confusion... It incorporates two main elements. In mythology, the morning star is the woman who watches over the warrior in battle. We see her at the start. She grants him favor at dawn... basically, he gets to live. This is what is assumed.

According to the myth, there is a king's hall. It closes for the night to protect from the great wolf. The same wolf haunts Odin and is kept at bay by Tyr. The wolf is always the same. He is our fear and our aspiration combined as one entity.

The king warns him that freewill does not allow for placing blame upon anyone other than yourself. This is important to the myth. The wolf is free and the king is killed. The man faces his fear and holds his freewill to his own. As the king commends him on finally taking his own choice.

It is clear now that the major theme is the Sermon of the Mount. The morning star had always been Jesus and not evil. We witness society and the man work threw this dilemma that created Lucifer out of Christ. He talks of the great city on the hill. The followers are the lights of the city. The main character finally sees this great city which is a modern shining city.

The sermon preaches that actions do not make the man, but his heart is what is true. In each act, he has chosen righteousness over the accepted rule of men toward what was called sin. The sermon also explains that perfection is the goal of man that he stands fully liberated. There he finally has reached that point and there he sees society ahead that has also broken free of fear and archaic beliefs.

He sees that it was never his friend being carried. It was always himself. It was never witches, women, priests, nor any other thing haunting him, it was all his own burden. What mattered most was his own conviction and that he could accept those choices without guilt and move forward toward peace. This is why he does not stop or continue to embrace the woman that he finally recognizes.

There are a lot of points in the movie. This is the best that I can do to elaborate some of the key issues. He awoke a pitiful man with no heroic quality. Through the light of the morning star (viewed as evil by most and Christ by others) he finally became heroic and honorable. This is the man we are left to see walking away.

Im confused
seeksker8 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Okay so i Somewhat get it at times but then i don't really get it, The summary of the movies a lie haha. I'm So confused can anyone give me their take on the whole thing? So i feel that He's pulling the body as an eternal sentence for his wrongdoings in life therefore he will have the to pull his own weight being his "sin" for the rest of eternity. I feel the witches may be his are different sides of the same person. IM still so confused please producer or writer elaborate on WTF i just watch hahaha. I like where they were trying to go (i think) but i believe it fell short my a ways off, I don't think the acting was terrible some of its yes but isn't that most movies that are of this category? I feel if they has another hour into this movie i i would get it; Thats a big maybe though cause maybe it would of just left me even more confused then i am now. If your into metaphoric ideology of life then i would say watch it and be thinking deeper the whole time and not about whats actually happening in this movie.

Sadly the viewers didn't got the message that stands at final scene!!!
elo-equipamentos18 December 2022
I can granted for all those who are reading my review posted here where after think a lot I'd finally understood this odd offering over a medieval soldier in his journey back home after the war is ended at final battlefield where the whole story begun, of course all such disjointed scenes let the audience puzzled, when the unknown soldier decided bring back the dead body of his buddy to their homeland.

During his long and exhaustive quest he will meeting at road with several people, each one treats as paradoxically in my vision, he actually had recurrent flashbacks from the past that the viewer should assemble it properly to got the entire picture, without this the understanding stay adrift letting us lost in the labyrinth so to speak.

Just in the final scene the awful truth unveils itself for those who believe in afterlife, whoever wrote the screenplay put some indistinguishable scenes widely, maybe to fill out any loopholes and so on, nevertheless the picture is exceedingly engaging and also ground-breaking in the maximum expression of the word, tough the audience didn't got the message, I'm sorry for them!!

Thanks for reading.
