Damon messed up big time

This episode deals with the fallout of everything that happened with Katherine, its good at progressing into the next part of the season while not showing too much.

Excellent emotion from Elena

Elena's descent into madness due to the virus during this episode was amazing, especially how she handled Liv. The end conversation with Damon was beautiful. Also Enzo's interactions with pretty much everyone were hilarious. A lot of iconic scenes and quotes here, this episode is underrated.

Elena has a dream where she is dancing at a college party on top of a table. Jeremy is there with Caroline and Matt. Matt calls out for her to take it off. She takes off her outermost top and throws it. She comes down saying how can they not see this is not her - she doesn't dance half-naked on top of a surface with her underage brother present at a college party. Elena wakes up to find herself alone in the dorm. She goes out and Stefan shows up. Stefan explains what she missed the past three weeks while Katherine was inhabiting her body. Damon and Elena talk on the phone. Damon is chained up in the Salvatore home with Jeremy and Matt acting as guards. Elena learns bad news bit by bit and that Katherine kissed Stefan. Stefan gets a call from Caroline that Enzo has an antidote but he has to come here for some reason. Stefan shows up and it turns out the Travellers want Stefan's blood so they can kill another one of his doppelgangers. Stefan undergoes excruciating pain until Caroline threatens to kill Sloane. Enzo delivers the antidote to Damon and Elena. Caroline and Enzo head off to go slay the doppelganger instead of having the Travellers fry Stefan's brain. Elena is shocked to learn from Damon in the end that he killed Aaron Whitmore. Elena breaks up with Damon but then Damon initiates sex. Liv goes back to her dorm and is about to take off her blood-stained top when Luke is there. She is surprised and says she was about to take off her top. Luke replies it is fine because he is gay and her brother. Liv says she fooled Bonnie into thinking she is teaching her magic. Luke says he made Elena think she compelled him.
