Good plot, good view, and "Aya" was awesome. She delivered and was a natural. The two leads though engaging were not as genuine as the other casts, it didn't feel natural. Barbie as always shines when she needs to let go of her tears and was very effective in being a good and loving daughter. David has nuances that speaks of his role but still needs to do better (John Loyd would be a good fit for this role during his prime years, i cannot think of anyone on this generation that could match his charisma, Joshua maybe?). There were some scenes that were cringey and lacking, probably because Barbie still looks young for this role and at times David underdelivered. Sophia was amply performed well by Kaila, not too much, not too lacking. To succinctly put it, good storyline, ill fitting leads.

Thought this was a very slow romance story; I would call it a "nice" romance story but not necessarily a rom-com as others are describing it. I didn't see any real funny parts in it. The story has a small bit of tension in it as another girl enters the scene to disrupt the flow but we all know from the very beginning how this is going to end anyway because it is so predictable that the tension added doesn't mean a thing. The male lead is cast perfect and the arrogance was played perfectly. IMO the casting for FL could have been better as I didn't see the chemistry that much on her side. The ending is a fairytale.

I think most of the reviews on here are really just automated from chatpgt bs to fluff up it's ratings; they definitely didn't watch the same movie I watched.
The story was a failed attempt to copy the movie "hitch", a big city dating coach with a heart of gold falls for a jaded person who is out of their reach but gets them in the end, but only after nearly giving up and packing their bags to leave in defeat over a misunderstanding.
The acting was awful on the lead male, The girls all say he's perfect in everything, even in bed, and he's as boring as cardboard. All he has is the veneer of money, which, doesn't cover up his toneless lack of charm.
The storyline was flat and a toddler could guess the lines and cues.
Female lead did better but couldn't un-sink the ship
The end was too dumb and childish to comprehend... He flew everyone out to Korea to ask her to be his girlfriend? What?? So dumb I'm stupider now for watching this, I blame my wife, lol!

I only ever watch one local movie on repeat and that's Rico and Claudine's Got 2 Believe. I watched this movie 3 times already after its debut on Netflix.
This is a feel-good movie, something light yet thoughtful and poignant without coming across as preachy. I particularly like the natural banter and the seamless back and forth of Barbie and David, the expressive eyes, sexual tension and natural closeness - as if they were having irl convos and we're all peeping into their private world.
Highly recommended for people who wants to be entertained and end up falling in love after watching. Something you should pop up on your screen when stressed and looking for something to cheer you up.

Acting of leads were both good but in some scenes, the male leads had issues with delivery of lines but overall is satisfactory.
Storyline is quite predictable but no dull moments so you'll keep watching. The ending is not what I have expected but I am still satisfied.
Cinematography is 10/10 for me. They selected the best filming locations and the camera's angles were good. It's like watching a kdrama.
Chemistry of the main leads is 10/10. It's a beautiful pairing because they look so good together and that alone could be a reason to watch the movie hehe. No sensual kissing scenes but the "kilig" is to the highest level LOL.

A movie that can make you feel different emotions, you can feel kilig and the drama at the same time. The chemistry of the main leads is what makes this movie so strong, you can feel their chemistry through the screen and as if you are inside the movie itself.
You can feel the emotions, the eyes speak for itself and also kudos for the hardworking director and staff behind the camera for the passionate and unending support for the main leads that make the movie successful.
Also, you can invite your friends and family to watch this movie because it's not just about love it's also talks about family.

The movie is feel good, funny and heartwarming at the same time. Barbie Forteza and David Licauco's chemistry is top-notched. From the moment they've met at the bar, the viewers can feel the intensity of the attraction between the two of them. It's rare for two individuals to have that much of a chemistry and compatibility even though they are not "together" in real life. Effortless, I may say. Barbie is a great actress, no doubt, David on the other hand, has this certain charisma that make your eyes glued on the screen. His eyes, facial expressions, conveyed the right emotions, with or without dialogues.
The supporting cast are also great, especially Divine. CAN'T HELP BUT LAUGH AT HER ANTICS. The screenplay, Cinematography are superb, technicality-wise.
Over-all That Kind of Love deserves all the praises. Hoping more people would watch the film.

Felt so kilig in so many scenes! The plot and story flow blends so naturally and the ending genuinely surprised me. This movie is not just about finding love but this is also about chasing your dreams (whether or not you will really achieve them) for yourself and ultimately for your family... and that I think is why this movie should be watched by many. Scenery is also so refreshing and the soundtrack really made the film whole. Film edit was really great!
Also, the outfits for this movie is topnotch! Barbie's character had the best outfits and I cannot wait to copy them! And copy her character's fund saving techniques.
Watch it on cinemas while you can! Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino!!

This Filipino romantic comedy breaks away from the country's cinematic trends of focusing on intense dramas and stories involving mistresses, offering instead a light, fresh take on love and relationships. The chemistry between Barbie and David is palpable, creating an electric atmosphere that makes the audience eagerly anticipate their every move. The moment their characters move closer or are about to kiss, the cinema erupts with screams, cries, and a wave of emotions, a testament to their magnetic connection.
Barbie, with her impressive résumé of nine best actress awards, delivers another stellar performance. However, this role showcases a different side of her - she is mature, sexy, sultry, and confident. Her wardrobe perfectly complements her character, adding to the overall appeal. David, on the other hand, convincingly portrays the CEO vibe, embodying his character Adam with charm and authority.
A standout in the comedy department is Divine, Barbie's sidekick, who brings a fresh and unexpected dose of humor to the film. The confrontation scenes are particularly poignant, delivering a roller coaster of emotions that resonate deeply. Despite the lengthy running time, the engaging performances and the actors' perfect fit for their roles make it fly by.
While the backstories and characterizations could use more depth, the undeniable chemistry between Barbie and David, often referred to as BarDa, saves the movie. Their dynamic is so compelling that it leaves a lasting impression, making viewers hope for a real-life romance between the two. This film is a delightful experience that brings happiness and lingers in the mind long after the credits roll.

At last Barbie and David's chemistry is brought to the silver screen!
If you want a feel good movie na fun at nakakakilig, this is the movie for you! It's light and breathe of fresh air and will remind you of the magic rom-com Kdramas bring.
Barbie's portrayal of Mila reminded me of old rom-com movies we grew up watching. A sassy, sexy yet adorable female lead that is pure wits.
While David's portrayal of Adam is so natural it's as if David is portraying a character of himself. His character is charming and endearing.
You can't and won't be able to deny Barbie and David's chemistry, specially in a setting where every detail is magnified.
A definite must-watch.

A feel good movie that would make u realize that love has it's way to find you.
Each one of us has an Adam and Mila in us.
When we are our own Mila, we hope to have our Adam in life.
A well directed movie, Direk Cathy Camarillo you are brilliant. Feeling ko kasama ako sa eksena.
A heartfelt script, Direk Ellis Catrina you are a genius. Kinikig ako sa bawat eksena, esp the last part.
A supportive cast, they all fit in sa roles nila
A convincing portrayal by the lead actors. Their acting is so convincing that you will ask BarDa, umaakting pa ba kayo🤔

So! If you're looking for a cheesy kilig proper filipino romcom? That Kind Of Love IS DEFINITELY "THAT MOVIE" you all should watch. IT IS NOT A LOST ART.
I love how everyone who made this movie possible took their time to make a laid-back, but doesn't lack of depth in knowledge, reasoning, emotions, or character type of movie! 💯
2hrs and 18mins time went by so fast, but there isn't any scene that's wasted! Barbie Forteza (Milagros Maharlika) and David Licauco (Adam de Dios) not just displayed how good they are as a loveteam, BUT they also showed their passion in this craft. Again, not ONLY as a love team (BarDa), BUT as INDIVIDUAL ACTORS. 👏🏻
We all know how excellent of an actress Barbie Forteza is already, BUT the Barbie Forteza I watched on this movie is indeed ON ANOTHER LEVEL! She was fierce, yet sassy. Eloquent, but not that intimidating. She knows she's good at what she do and I can say.. she is not just an actress. We saw a QUEEN! ✨
David Licauco, on the other side, learned languages on to portray your character on this first movie with Barbie Forteza? You're the MAN! I know you also love what you do so much and please know we witnessed A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT. You set the bar high! I can see a lot of emotions just by being focused looking in your eyes while I watch you act on this movie. You portrayed your character very well! Much have been said, I am so proud of you!
BarDa, you are really "meant" to do BIGGER things together! 💗 Cheers from afar to the movie's success! 🥃

Why You Should Watch It Now
1. It showcases the undeniable & sizzling ✨ chemistry between Barbie and David that joyously 🎉 transcends from TV to the big screen. Even the seniors in the cinema where I watched it can't help giggle every time they have confrontation scenes. 😊
2. It's a romantic 💓 comedy that serves on point yet very tense🔥and butterflies-in-the-stomach inducing conversations between the main leads - you would wish you are there in the scene with them. 😊😊 The yacht scene is my most favorite. I wish Adam and Mila would stay in that yacht until they produce 12 kids together. 😂 😂
But, seriously, that yacht long-conversation scene can really make your heart tremble and make your knees weak. 😊 David has really mastered the subtle acting art. Every nuance, expression, gesture, and vocal delivery of someone who's falling in love - HE BLOODY NAILED IT.
3. Barbie Forteza wears so many beautiful dresses 👗 in this movie. She officially ended 💅 her teen-girl persona era while she struts around wearing all those chic and fashionable outfits.
4. Some scenes are filmed in South Korea. 🌸 They added more romantic ambiance ✨ to the whole story.
5. No villains, no side stories, the whole movie is all about how love finds Adam and Mila. 😊
6. No poverty porn! Yes! It depicts the Philippines positively - showing affluent places and decent working and dwelling spaces of the female lead. I just hate it when Filipino movies keep on showcasing poverty porn.
My only complaint is, it's TOO short despite the fact that it is a 2-HOUR-PLUS LONG movie. I feel like I wanted more. It's BITIN! It's not enough for me 😭 😭

Barbie Forteza who plays Mila will make you laugh cry and laugh again in an instant. She's so cute and lovable that you will definitely want her to find happiness and true love.
David Licauco who plays Adam is a real master of subtle nuances. His eyes depict a lot of emotions from amusement, frustration, anger, sadnes even without saying a single word. He's a complete epitome of a wattpad character. Handsome, intelligent, billionaire. Mr Perfect indeed.
Even the supporting actors are good and on point, from Divine's Biz to Kaila Estrada.

That Kind of Love had surprised me so much if I must say. The kilig and romance part of the movie comes from every little detail of the production, the settings, the cinematography, the outfits, the music and ofc, the storyline and actors itself. It was woven so intricately. I love how it surprises the viewers and audience with a bang that left at us at the edge of our seats and still curious to how certain scenarios would play out. Also kudos to the very strong chemistry given by our wonderful leads, Barbie and David, the growth and individuality they provide for Mila and Adam, ibang iba to their previous roles. Also, our Achi, Ms. Kaila, girl I love her. Watching the movie made me miss all those lighthearted romcom movies from the past, it left me giddy and hopeful for love. It leaves you with a strong desire to watch the movie not once, not twice, but more times, the kilig doesn't go away even after the credits roll down. This movie is a must watch, so kung di ka pa nanonood, what's stopping you? Watch it and fall in love with love.

Its definitely worth watching again and again and again and again 💯. The plot, the writing, the direction, the cinematography, the chemistry, is so good! The message of this movie is what we need when it comes to love. You learn to wait, and be patient because true love will come at the right time, with the right person. Barbie & David proved themselves even more with their solo acting skills but when they're together, its the magical experience! Its their chemistry that made you feel everything positive while watching the movie and you definitely want to go back and watch again. Its a 10 for me👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Its a Love story,But not a typical one.

This is so well crafted in all aspects. It is not perfect but much attention was given to small details.
I gave a 10 because of the very strong chemistry of David and Barbie. Their's is strong on the small screen and now magnified many, many time on the big screen.
The story, the BarDa performances even the support cast, the music, the production notes . . . Just wonderful. I can go on and on. I know this film was not hurried.
This is the film worth watch many times. WE need positivity, good vibes these days. This is just in time. Perhaps the film makers do NOT have the marketing machinery but I pray and hope the fandoms will create such a stir so that the casual movie goers and non-fans would watch it.
Congrats to Direk Cathy, the whole production, crew, cast and most especially David Licauco and Barbie Forteza. God bless them all.

I am currently on my way to watch the movie again for Day-3. The kilig I'm feeling is so intense. BarDa's chemistry is so strong that I go home with a smile on my face and feeling good after watching their movie.
The song, cinematography, delivery of lines and many others are so detailed for me. It left me hanging that I want a Part Two for the movie. It leaves me feeling really good after a stressful encounter. I love the movie so much that I want to repeat the movie over and over again.
I never felt like this in a romantic-comedy movie before. Usually I only watch a rom-com once not twice or thrice but this movie is really something. I watched it since Day 1 until now and next week if it's still available in SM Batangas. I've waited for this for a long time. I do love repeating the movie. It just feels really good after watching it.

If I would give a platinum award of chemistry for a male and female leads , I would give it to the leads of this movie. I am an avid doubter of dual chemistry, I believe that the sole plot of any movie is the factor generating the chemistry, however the two leads of this movie convinced me that the people themselves can sail a movie just by their charisma TOGETHER.
I give it 10/10 for the mixture of laughter, lightness, and "kilig" it gave me while watching. Not only that, the wardrobes suited the actresses and actors well, it's alluring.
The plot is simple but it was executed well especially by the female lead, she's incredible. The male lead has this expressive eyes, you will fall inlove. Thank you for this movie! Filipino crafts definitely are starting to go beyond the box.

I have been a fan of their partnership since Mano po legacy. They have an undeniable chemistry. Therefore, it was expected that you will scream during their interactions. You will smile uncontrollably and overall be happy about it
The story was good however I want to slowdown some of the scenes to appreciate it more and slowly build up the story and their love for each other. Some progression seems like a jump from one plot to another.
I love the scenes in Korea, it was narrated beautifully. I love how korean-drama feels the whole movie is. This is a typical rom-com, watch this if you want to laugh and feel love.

This movie "That Kind of Love" is hands down one of the best rom-coms I've seen for a while! Barbie Forteza and David Licauco absolutely and perfectly nailed it, nailed their roles as Milagrosa "Mila" Maharlika and Adam De Dios like a chef's kiss, HAHA! Delivering performances filled with SOOO MUCHHH chemistry, charm, heartwarming and heartfelt moments. The story really is refreshing and inspiring, blending humor and romance perfectly.
I really loved how Mila's optimism broke down Adam's walls. The direction and cinematography were on point, i'm really satisfied, especially with the South Korean setting adding an extra romantic vibe, i even thought it's gonna be a K-Drama, hehe. The supporting casts also did an awesome job.
This movie gave me all the feels, the butterflies are flying inside my stomach! If I could rate it 100/10, I would've done it a long time ago, 10 just isn't enough! I really loved the movie so much, if i could just express how happy i feel right now after watching it, i love it!! Epecially the main leads Barbie and David is such a great love team, their acting is just fantastic, David's expression is everything even if he's not saying anything, his eyes are telling us everything and Barbie's acting too.. they're soooo good!! Overall, SOLID 10/10!!!:>>>>
----i hope there is another movie for thisss!!:> (part 2, hehe)
