Being very old and having watched TV for some 70 odd years, I have been a party to endless TV weddings. Most of the time they annoy me because they interrupt the flow of the show. This one was better than most because they threw in some forensics, brought everyone together, added some interesting stuff. The vows, especially Brennan's, were pretty cool put a nice ending touch. Each character had a nice moment and we got to see the squinterns battling it out at times--lots of egos and idiosyncracies in a very small space. I am still not a big fan of Cyndi Lauper's character, and I've always found her voice rather grating. It was still a nice song.

I really appreciate the heartfelt joy and humour I find throughout this series, and I always feel rewarded as a fan for how often they call back to early episodes. I am not a fan of sentimentality... and yet this episode somehow made me happy as if my friends were genuinely getting together. Don't watch it for an Oscar-worthy script, but enjoy what the writers gave us. Much appreciated.

A long time in the making and I couldn't be happier! Love that they are trying to keep Bones from focusing on the case instead of prepping for the wedding by bringing in all the squinterns to "pick up the slack". Having Aldo perform the ceremony was a nice touch, bring back the buried alive letter (chiefs kiss), and the amazing outfits was just the fun this wedding needed. I do think it was a little bit cliche that the wedding venue burnt down but all in all a great episode. P. S. I don't know if you know but there is a Bones rewatch Podcast hosted by Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo (Daisy) called Boneheads!

I am not gonna say *spoiler* because the previous episode stated that next on Bones is the wedding, so there may be returning guests and such...duh.
Problems occur with the wedding, duh, like a murder....they bring back a lot of the old interns to keep Brennan focused on the wedding. Angela, Booth, and Brennan's Father make stuff happen, case gets solved, and you get to the end.
Cyndi Lauper sings and sets the mood just right, the camera shows everyone that helped them get to this point, with the exception of Zach and Parker, then Emily Deschanel makes it a point to ruin every bit of the feeling 3 times by acting like an emotionless robot at her own wedding.
It is terrible. Whatever ultimate stoicism Brennan may have started with; she has had 6 years to learn how to act human with the help of Angela and Boothe. Either the writers are unflinching, or the acting is drab, but this episode is your last wakeup call. They are/have jumping/jumped the shark (nuking the fridge for you young types).
It's time to stop watching
