Emotionally overwhelming documentary series from Germany is about kids going to school in some of the most remote places in the globe. To reach school, they have to walk scores of miles through scorching hot deserts, tropical jungles full of wild animals, dangerous rivers, the frozen tundra. A lot of these children live in extreme poverty and one hopes that the filmmakers did at least share some of whatever money they earn from these documentaries with them. All the series is very good, but I particularly reccomend the episode set in Bolivia and in Papua New Guinea.
Feels so sad to look at what these kids go through every day to go to school.
This serves to show some eye opening situations of what some kids endure.
Makes you feel very thankful for all the conveniences we don't realize we have.

I have recommended this doc to everyone I know. It really changed my perspective and made me aware of some things I was previously not. It was filmed beautifully. The people involved in this do not have to do anything more as they have already done way more for these children than us sitting at home.
I loved the series. We get to watch young kids taking very difficult and long paths to school, in places all over the world.
This is a very good documentary series to show your kids, specially when they complain about school. It really makes us think about our financial privilege.
The only downsides for me were: too few episodes... and the English dubbing. I would love it a lot more to hear their original languages with English subtitles instead.
Overall it was pretty cool.
