In one scene, the 'badger' is actually just a dog with some fabric tied to it and a CGI badger head was added in post production. It was made to look cheap on purpose to mimic b-movies.
The foot stepping on the eyeball is actually of the director's wife in a cameo.
In the final scene, there are too many body parts scattered around the room to be from one person, implying there was more than one victim of the badger in the house.
The Moon in the opening shot wasn't CGI or a photo of the real Moon, it was actually a Moon which was painted onto fabric by Rosalind Beeson, which was then composited into the scene.
