- Peter assigns Neal a new handler to investigate an online black market, but Neal's loyalties will be tested when he discovers the trail might lead to Mozzie.
- Neal gets his new handler David Siegel, a suave young star agent, who convinced Peter he learned handling a Chicago con with manipulative flattery. The FBI have arrested the proprietor of a website for stolen goods and plan to overbid-trap and arrest his contacts while high- pregnant Diana makes the website appear to continue operating. Neal and Siegel are sent to the warehouse of an art dealer involved with the website, who turns out to be Mozzie, who escapes, but Siegel saw him. Neal keeps Peter from learning that the dealer is Mozzie, but Siegel uncovers the "Teddy Winter" identity behind Mozzie's vast holdings, which orphan Mozzie believes to be his birth identity, as a baby who disappeared shortly before he was found. Mozzie returns to set fire to the warehouse and vanishes into a hideout beneath it. The FBI believe Teddy is dead, but Diana goes inside alone, finds the hideout and tries to arrest Mozzie but suddenly goes into labor. Mozzie delivers the baby, whom she names "Theo", and she so far keeps his secret. Neal breaks into the FBI evidence room and destroys evidence against Hagan, which will give him a chance in his retrial, using the choreography Mozzie thought him to pass the security cameras and steal crucial Spanish bonds.—KGF Vissers
- Open with Neal practicing avoiding surveillance cameras with Mozzie ahead of trying to tamper with Hagan's evidence box. Neal references getting a new handles and Mozzie thinks it might be better if they're not so chummy with the feds. Mozzie is working on making fake bonds.
The team has arrested Brendan "Three Time" Holland, who ran Grey Trade, a black market version of ebay. The plan is to keep the site up and running for a few days to go after sellers. They will pose as buyers and outbid everyone so they aren't allowing illegal transactions to continue.
Neal meets his handler, a younger agent named David Siegel. He is complimentary of Neal and says he actively sought him out. When Neal leaves the room Siegel tells Peter that he was "handling" Neal by being so friendly with Neal.
Peter tells Elizabeth he hasn't yet discussed the change in handler with Neal.
The next morning Peter asks Neal what he thinks of Siegel. Neal is aware Siegel was playing to his vanity, but likes him nonetheless.
Diana has been up all night working on the Grey Trade site.
Siegel has discovered a company called Little Star Merchandise that seems to be perfect for them to target. Neal hasn't heard of Little Star and tries to dissuade Siegel from going after them.
The plan is for Neal to go into Little Star posing as a designer and them pull Siegel in after he's made contact. Neal walks to the back and finds Mozzie. Little Star is Mozzie's operation. Neal tells Mozzie what is going on and he proceeds to drop teeth on the desk and set a fire. Neal puts it out, but not before an alarm is sounded. This sends Siegel running inside and pulls a gun on Mozzie, who promptly makes a run for the backdoor and loses them.
Neal and Siegel look through Mozzie's stuff and find a broken laptop. They bring it to the bureau. When Peter and Jones hear Siegel's description of Little Star's proprietor and assume it was Mozzie. Neal denies it.
The bureau has Neal give a sketch, and he's able to trick Siegel into confirming a different face than the one he shows Peter.
Jones tells Peter he needs to allow Diana to finish the case. She's in a tough spot being so close to delivering her baby.
Via Mozzie's laptop Siegel found the name Teddy Winters in the system. The name is connected to Little Star but there is no picture.
Mozzie tells Neal he's thinking of heading to Miami. Neal says he can hang on a little while, but he'll just have to burn the alias Teddy Winters. Mozzie responds that Teddy Winters is his real name. Teddy Winters came from Mozzie's search into his real identity once he became old enough. He's kept the name active in case his parents came looking. "If they have Teddy, they have it all."
Neal sends Mozzie to the morgue while he looks for an explosive of some kind.
Siegel shows Peter he's found an offshore holding company for Teddy Winters.
Neal acquires the ingredients for napalm.
When Neal arrives at the office he's told theh've put Teddy Winters' empire together and are prepared to take him down. Neal and Siegel leave to go get him.
Mozzie prepares Little Star to explode. He walks out front just as police cars arrive on scene. Mozzie runs inside and the building explodes.
The team finds teeth in the building that match Teddy Winters' file, along with a body. Siegel is convinced Winters couldn't have faked his own death given what he saw. Peter orders Diana home for some rest.
Diana isn't convinced Winters is really dead and wants Neal to go with her to the warehouse. He says he'll go with her the following day.
At Little Star warehouse Diana finds three manholes. She calls sanitation and asks "which one doesn't belong?"
Peter tells Neal that Hagan's is up for re-trial and his evidence is on-site. Peter references the proof of his guilt being upstairs.
Diana pops one of the manholes and goes down the stairs. She finds Mozzie enjoying a glass of wine and some classical music. She says he's under arrest and points a gun at him. She then collapses in pain, clutching her belly and asking for his help to get back up the ladder. Mozzie makes a break for it, then turns around and starts to help her. The baby is coming and she has no choice but to let Mozzie help her deliver.
Siegel apologizes to Peter for messing up the case. Peter tells him he did fine and asks about working with Neal. They talk about the possibility that Neal was involved with Little Star. Siegel tells Peter he sent his last CI back to prison. Siegel leaves after telling Peter that Neal's anklet shows he's still in the building.
We see a montage of Neal dancing past the cameras and Mozzie helping Diana delivery her baby. Neal gets into the room and finds Hagan's evidence box. Peter goes to the elevators and calls Neal's cell phone. Neal doesn't answer and goes to work on the evidence. Peter goes upstairs and checks in at the desk. He goes back to the room allowing Neal to escape behind him. Peter finds him near his desk and looks suspicious when Neal said he returned to get his hat.
Neal goes to Mozzie's lair and finds Mozzie with Diana and her baby.
Peter comes home and Elizabeth tells him they need to leave and get to the hospital.
At the hospital Neal, Peter, Mozzie, Jones and Elizabeth stand around Diana's bed. She says she's thinking about naming the boy Theo, after Winters. When the room clears Diana tells Peter "someone I didn't know" helped her deliver the baby. They both seem to realize what is going on with Mozzie, but Peter thinks it can wait.
Mozzie tells Neal it feels good being "nameless." He's lost everything, but will remain out of prison. They reference Hagan potentially being back on the street soon.
