- There are scenes featuring hand-to-hand combat blows, bottles being smashed on heads, impressionistic limb breaks, women being repeatedly punched and kicked in the stomach, and implied neck slittings. Strong bloody shootings include close-up detail of shots to the head and in the mouth.
- A scene of sexual violence shows a pimp verbally abusing a prostitute and then thrusting into her; another woman is seen battered and bruised after an unseen sexual assault
