Last 5 minutes

If you've come to the 13th episode, you're come to expect a mild love triangle, a cast suffering from testosterone poisoning, a tame, silly, action TV show plot and a lot of great abs.

"So why a 9?" you might ask.

It's the five minutes. I don't know what happened, but someone must have taken out the writer minutes before finishing the script, with the purpose of giving this series some integrity in the end. I'd rather not spoiler- mark this, but the last scene especially gave me a reminded me of a certain movie producer from the Godfather movie, and it definitely seemed more brutal than the show had let us to believe it was. Kudos to whoever is responsible for this turn, may he convince people Bitten deserves a season 2.

Ready - showdown and daddy

Best episode of season 1. Rachel needs to follow directions and stop running if she intends on living. Fight scenes are graphic. I had a feeling about one outcome, but not the rest. Several surprises in this one. Can't wait to get into Season 2.

as for that last scene... gotta be a dream

Warning: Spoilers
Yet another big baddie played by a guy who can't do "menacing". And look at that buncha "terrible thugs" and look at how Santos seems to be at the mercy of the schoolyard bully when big hero man matinée-idol-type Clay grabs him from behind. The Good vs. Evil bit needs some seriously heavy muscle and ferocity. And let's listen to the words of a loser, over to you, Daniel Santos: "Look at what I'm capable of! I created an empire of mayhem! Sure, they're all probably dead now. But, oh, it was glorious while it lasted." Like, ooh, didn't we almost had it all? Almost shot down the moon, man!

For a comedy of errors, observe character Rachel. Is there some deleted scenes or what? To wit, Rachel leaves her hotel hideaway to go grab some snacks. Logan snuck off to Stonehaven without telling her (some boyfriend, some impending father!) We do not see Rachel for some time. Wild melee about to break out at the family manor. Rachel comes stumbling out of the bushes, tape-gagged. What the hey---? She was back in town! Okay, Logan runs towards her, rescues her, and deposits her in that hidey-hole. Fool girl, she doesn't stay there either, next we see her, she is in the back of that limo, under duress. But we never saw her getting abducted. I mean, it CAN be filmed this way, but HERE, it's all shown in a very inept, contrived way.

In an early fight with glasses-guy Le Blanc, Elena points out that he should put away the knife for a fair fight. Elena is, of course, our Lady Heroine, and we scowl at misfits like Le Blanc and his ol' knife. Later on, poor little "traveling salesman type" Daniel Santos is held by Clay, and Elena literally breaks his heart. No, no, no, a thousand times, no! Hasn't the Canadian scriptwriter heard about the Geneva Convention? Thou shalt fight fairly and with honor and all that.

Can't help but notice, the baddie buddies early on are tracked as they approach in Daniel's car... as a blip om the screen. See Daniel become a pedestrian. Own up, the real thing broke down, the car was in for repairs, written off, the show had to go on.

As for that last scene, I said to myself: The show is 59% Laura Vandervoort, 40% Greyston Holt, so, no way, no way, THAT HAS GOT TO BE A DREAM...! Then, again, it is a supernatural show... Deceased characters can return...
