Couldn't stop watching
papanda31 March 2024
There were 3 reasons I really enjoyed this: 1. The show knew the story it wanted to tell and didn't drag or go all over the place, it immediately grabbed my attention and had me invested in what was going to happen next. I planned to watch an episode a day and that definitely ended up being the entire show in two days. I also can't recall feeling like the plot was being rushed or dragged at any point.

2. The show was well shot and didn't have so many awkward angles like a lot of Thai shows I've seen.

And 3. The characters were pretty well acted and believable, I didn't find any of them to be irritating or just over the top caricatures, they all seemed like real people with real problems and understandable reactions to their situations.

This was a fun watch and I can definitely see myself rewatching it.

No wasted time

Finally! I've been waiting for this kind of originality. This topic of budhism is semi forbidden to discuss but they nailed it to the head. I like how they also balanced out the good and the bad within the "belief business." They did it with such nuance and fairness that me as a viewer find entertaining and eye opening at the same time. You can be critical, fair, and respectful while also be skeptical about how things work behind closed door. I cannot wait for season 2. This is probably by far the best Thai Netflix serie to date.

A little note: find it a little annoying/ distracting when Win kept messing with his hair in difficult situations. But other than that they're good bunch.

The best Thai series of 2024.
parnws-126941 April 2024
I personally admire the idea and key message of the series. Religion and Thai cultures are indeed rooted in people believing.

I also have questions about the underneath business among the religion, politics, and police system. The series also combine the cryptocurrency in the plot which I think this is very up-to-date plot. It also shows us there's always two sides of same coin. The series encourage people to ask some questions about their beliefs. It's so fascinating to see a good Thai series I haven't seen a while.

Amazing plots which you'll not regret watching it. I can't wait to see the next season.

Original!

This series is very original. I binged watch it within a night. It proposes a very interesting dilemma - as much as I know of the protagonists' wrongdoings. I was rooting for them the whole series throughout their ups and downs. I thought there was no more story to tell after a few episodes but it kept getting more and more interesting and thrilling. Now I can't wait to watch season 2.

I believe it is a very sensitive topic to portray about blasphemy and religion. However, the portrayal in this series was sensitive enough.

Thai series on Netflix are definitely gems, including 'Ready, Set, Love'. As a Vietnamese, I absolutely adore Thai cinema and television. Hope the series goes on! I truly need more quality Asian originals on Netflix.

Great Thai production
TheodoraEh1 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not giving this a 10 because I realized on the last episode that it doesn't end after the initial 9 episodes released on Netflix. I never start a series unless all episodes are out so I was a bit frustrated at the end.

Anyway, now that we're here, I loved watching this. The fact that it's set in Thailand in a temple etc, I loved watching temples rather than a big city. So colorful and interesting. I also liked the fact that they tackle that whole mess that is religion, especially in a country where it looks to be pretty dominant.

I found the pacing to be good in all episodes except the last one, where it went really slow and now I see why. Because we weren't getting to any resolution, just a cliffhanger for the next season. Personally I wish it'd have ended, cause I feel like it's gonna get a lot more complicated from now on.

In any case, great Thai production, I usually only watch Korean and Japanese series but I ran out and thought I'd give this a go and I was surprised by how good a production it is, I'll be looking forward to more Thai productions in the future. The settings, actors, script, music, all great. Maybe just how dark some scenes were at some instances would be my only complaint, but nothing major. And the fact they didn't translate what that piece of paper said at the end, ugh!

Good job everyone!

Where there is faith, money follows
FinleyKolapo3 April 2024
This series nicely explores the intersection of religion, power, and profit. It delves into the murky waters of modern organized religion, where faith and cash collide. In fact, it seemed cash matters more than the religion itself at this point.

The concept is interesting, with strong performances by the lead cast, however some portrayal of the supposed 'ruthless businessman' might seem cringy at times. The evil shark loan personality and dialogues are somewhat comically evil. Yet, overall, it's still a great show. The series constantly introduces new arc and keeps you hooked throughout. For sure, A gem among Thai series on Netflix.

The character rlly non any sense
Classic19161 April 2024
The actor, character, art, lighting setting and all about shooting is real great no doubt.

But what happened with the character at the last part of the story?

Why many character do many non any sense?

It's starting weird at the episode 7

And it's worse at episode 8 especially the police guy. Really?

What's wrong with the writer?

Something should to details but not

If your purpose of the plot is show us that no one can be that good yah okay but with this script i'm so disappointed.

You can be good more than this.

You have a budget and talented people to make it but why you end up like..
