The Yellow Shoes is a coming of age drama that takes place on a commune somewhere in the remote forests of the PNW. Addison (Augi Moyer), fed up with the demands of college and her absent mother, meets a man who offers her a simpler way of life. After trials of commitment, she joins the community living hidden off the gird. While at first their free way of life and detachment from technology seem idyllic, and give her a deep sense of connection, Addison slowly realizes there may be just as many problems inside the commune as in the outside world. When fellow member, Juliet (Anne-Marie Chojnowski), accuses her of breaking the rules, Addison faces possible exile and must decide how to fight for her place in this community, or leave it.
