Yeah...this episode was not great at all...could even call it horrible. The skits were horrible this week. Even the nostalgic Barry Gibb Talk Show was mediocre at best.
Starting with the Cold Open, it had some humor, and it was very meta, it was an ok open to the lackluster show. The skit ended, intro, then monolougue. The monologue was not great either, had a funny trump joke. Justin Timberlake and "Barry Gibb" make an appearance.
The first skit was ok, it had some laughs with occasional funny dialogue, but it still was not great. Second skit was good, some fun in there.
Now...The Barry Gibb Talk Show was for nostalgia. It was good nostalgia, if you love the previous ones then you'll love this one. Next skit was actually very fun, "Please Don't Destroy" hilariously roasting the host.
Next skit you can skip, along with the JT music. Then there is the "highlight" of every SNL show in the modern era, "Weekend Update", which had some laughs, but was not on par with other editions.
Next skit was absolutely horrible, but also meta. It was just a chance for NBC to promote new season of "Shark Tank". After that was a horrible JT song, then a skit to give time for Kenan's new protegè, it was funny too! That was the end of show, apparently Dave Chapelle was there, since he was on camera for the end.
All in all, horrible show with some ok/mediocre moments. They should be so much better than that, need new writers fast. Hopefully the show gets better.
